So excited for the three consecutive plays I'm in to be over. Just had a six hour back to back rehearsal for two of them and I'm dying.

I'm not around much rn because I'm buried under just so much theatre (why did I sign up for three simultaneous plays?? Who thought this would be a good idea???) but I would just like to joyfully announce that I tanked this month's budget and ordered the John and Vriska plushies. Fuck Maslow's hierarchy of needs. We don't need to eat we need Homestuck merch.

I'm just taking a lil break after posting solidly for over two months BUT some silly little life updates from today:

1) my tiny stupid french bulldog tried to attack a police horse so I had to leap between them and let me tell you that was TERRIFYING and NOT FUN

2) I spent half an hour almost buying a dress makers mannequin for cosplay purposes with fifty quid I *do not have* and eventually won the internal battle and bought groceries instead. Except this means I also lost the internal battle and am very miffed I have broccoli and potatoes and not a mannequin for this dress I'm about to attempt to create.

Oh wow. So... that concludes my 2025 Homestuck Reread.

I'll probably post some more in the coming days about the last two big S pages and some drafts I've been working on that are a bit more analytical and need a bit more care than copy posting and going look!

But for now what can I say except thank you so much for joining me. This has been delightful and I've met so many cool people through doing this reread. And despite the fact it's half one in the am of the 14th, I'd still like to say: Happy 413

Just watched [S] Act 7, and again, I may do some Act 7 posting tomorrow, in the name of finishing Homestuck and getting some sleep before work - but I'd forgotten how beautiful it is. Like it's a stunningly cinematic piece of animation.

The reunion on the platform is delightful - I love that Karkat still potentially doesn't know that it was Kanaya who knocked him out!

I love how cinematic the panels get here. I also love that the Mayor and PM (and Serenity!!) get reunited, and then get to do something crucial. Don't ever let anyone tell you the carapacians aren't important, because they're everything.
