ETSY STRIKE INFO

I know it’s not my normal content but I’ve shared things about my Etsy shop on here before so I wanted to post about the Etsy strike going on from April 11-18.

We are striking because Etsy has continued to increase fees for shop owners and are increasing their transaction fee from 5% to 6.5%. Myself and many of my fellow shop owners are using Etsy as a primary source of income and this increase would mean we would make even less than we already do.

On top of transaction fees etsy takes .20 per listing posted, .20 to auto-renew a listing (which happens every three months or so), and a payment fee of 3% + .25 per sale.

We are making more demands of Etsy like ending the star seller program, cracking down on resellers, and removing roadblocks between shop owners and their earnings (including their infamously shitty shop support system). Please do more research on your own and educate yourself about the demands and issues in this matter.

I will be participating and putting my shop in vacation mode and we ask that you don’t purchase from Etsy during that time.

Obviously not everyone will be able to participate in the strike but we ask that you support those striking and not purchase on Etsy during those days. If you would like to buy from an Etsy seller during that time contact them directly.

Give your money to artists not corporations.

I don't fucking care what nationality you are, the color of your skin, what kind of sexual preferences you have and what God or no God you pray to. I also don't care how filthy rich you are, how pretty you are, how fit you are, how healthy you are, how skinny or fat you are. Because at the end of the day, we will all die and perish eventually. So for those who have problem with the way I think or feel, please, by all means, remove yourself from my friend list. In fact, do me another favor; Remove yourself from my life as well. After living in this Earth that is steadily becoming more bitter and more extreme for the past 32 years, I don't care what people think about me. I'm tired of pretending and okay-ing bullshit surrounding my life because I'm afraid of offending people or getting hurt. Nah, no more that. Now, I'm just going to live my quiet (and at times loud) life to the fullest before I no longer can't. As for the rest of you of who don't mind the existent of this 32 years old dude, thank you for staying. Let's journey together in this expiring life in these crazy times, together. Sorry for the late post, got busy having fun with you :P In all seriousness, I've been slacking off on  being a good boyfriend due to this whole being a "gaming content creator" shenanigan.
