From Under the Rubble... I Write My Story 🌿

I never thought I would write these words… 😔

I never imagined waking up to endless screams,

Running barefoot through smoke and fire,

Searching for my mother among the rubble,

Only to find nothing but silence… a heavy silence telling me that no one will answer me anymore. 💔

In one moment, everything changed.

Our home became a memory, my mother’s embrace became the past,

And my father's face, now absent, is the last thing I hold in my memory.

They’re gone… and left my heart burdened with unspoken grief. 😢

But despite everything, we are still here… trying.

I survived with my younger siblings.

Yes, we survived… but who are we after survival?

Children without warmth, without a roof, with no place to return to.

We were displaced to an unknown place, carrying a bag empty of everything… except pain. 🥀

We slept in the open, waking every morning to a life that holds nothing for us,

But despite everything… we keep trying. 💪

I write to you today not to cry, but to ask for hope. 🌱

I ask you to be a small light in this vast darkness,

To extend a hand that can mend what the war has broken in us.

It will provide us with food, shelter, and maybe even a new beginning. 💖

"it's her blood in your veins" is so essentialist. You know how oppressors categorize the people they oppress as less than them, as animals? This is textbook fascism, which is actually fascinating regarding Caitlyn's arc.

She was born in a very wealthy and influential family in position of power which allowed her to exercise a certain care-free, almost naive desire to see the world, just like a child whose presented with toys. I do not doubt for a second she thinks the people of Zaun suffered because of the society she is a product of, Vi is the perfect example of "you are not like them", which in season 1 was the cataclysm to her empathy, and indubitably the crumbling of any shred of compassion the moment she is personally attacked.

Her mother died, which is atrocious, but countless mothers died in Zaun against Piltover and the complete disregard it had towards Zaun's population. How many mothers died by enforcers? By chemicals' exposure? How many little girls lost their mom?

Caitlyn grief is emblazoned and coated in the privilege she was born into, reinforcing the idea she grew up with, that people of Zaun will not hesitate to eat her alive if they could, that's why she violently rejects Vi. They are all the same, it's in their nature. Caitlyn's anguish is in part grounded in discrimination.

arcane season 2 spoilers below the cut as well as some of my thoughts

as someone who doesn’t really care for cait or like piltover like a lot of you do (ik don’t kill me y’all love her over here) i find it interesting on the reaction a lot of ppl are having to what she said to vi. cait and vi and vitkor and jayce are very similar in my opinion. disregard the fact that cait is greaving and subsequently being used for political gain by ambessa,  cait has never seen zaun in any kind of positive way. she doesn’t care for zaun at all. it was engraved into her from her upbringing as a piltile. the fact that she weaponized the grey into the lanes shows just that. she absolutely knew the affects that the grey will have on zaunites but as long as she got revenge it was just a side effect of war.

her telling vi that she’s just like jinx and that she thought she was different from the people of zaun showed me her true colors. now i DO understand WHY she is doing and acting like this im not saying she isn’t battling her own grief. hell, she’s engulfed in it. but it’s more or so just a few thoughts i’ve been having.
