Currently Obsessed...

Happy September! 

I know this is typically a Friday post, but there were just too many great things to share. I also want to get into the habit of posting more regularly and thought this would be the perfect way to start. 

1. Inspiring Life Lessons from Iris Apfel. I love her! 

2. My birthday. Is that egotistical? My birthday was August 16th and my family threw me a fabulous party. I mean just look at the straws! 

3. New York Fashion Week is just around the corner and I’m SO excited! I will be sharing a complete lineup of my favorite shows/ times later this week. 

4. I have been searching for the perfect fall crossbody and bag and finally gave in and ordered this Michael Kors bag. 

5. Speaking of bags, if you have an extra $17,000 dollars to spare this fabulous number is available on One Kings Lane. 

6. I’m #obsessed with this beautiful, french apartment. 

7. How To Make Browned Butter Dishes- In case you ever wondered (like me). 

8. I’m also pleased to say that my new blog design is almost complete! Summer is winding down and that was something that I really wanted to have done. So hopefully I will get everything switched over very soon!

Sophia Loren

I've been doing a series entitled “Channel Your Inner...”. It’s been a while since I've done one of these (or any post for that matter), but I’m back today with a summer inspired post. I get a lot of my inspiration from decades past and celebrities from those years. Recently, I've been super inspired by the Amalfi Coast (think tan skin, coasting the beautiful water with a limoncello in hand) #someday. Instead of feeling depressed I choose to take inspiration from Sophia Loren and try to mimic her bombshell, Italian style. You should too! I give you, “Channel Your Inner Sophia Loren...”

Friday Favorites!

Happy Friday! 

I’m all for honesty and I’ve really been lacking in the blog department! I just haven’t been feeling very creative. I’ve been searching for inspiration and I’m happy to say that after a little shopping and Pinterest I feel much better! This Friday Favorites is all about the little things that I’ve been loving over the past few weeks. 

1. My Peonies! I posted an image on instagram when they first bloomed. Since they’re now gone I’ve been loving all the pictures I took! 

2. The J.Crew Summer Collection is all kinds of amazing and through Sunday you can get 30% off everything and 40% off all sale items.

3. Amika Dry Shampoo. I received it in my June Birchbox and I’m in love! I will be sharing more about it in my June Birchbox review later this month. 

4. I talk a lot about beauty products on here and I’m happy to say that I have some great products that I’m going to be reviewing soon. As much as I love trying new makeup sometimes I go back to my all time favorites like Maybelline “The Falsies” mascara. It used to be my #1 go-to and I kind of forgot how much I love it! If you’re looking for a great mascara for a really great price check it out!

Three Ways To...

Today I’m starting a new mini series entitled “Three Ways To Wear”. I’m going to be featuring wardrobe staples that you (should) already own. I know it’s easy to get into the habit of wearing something the same way every time you wear it. Let’s explore our options a little, shall we? 

I’m starting out with the classic navy and white striped tee shirt. I love how it’s both nautical and Parisian! #bestofbothworlds Maybe you don’t already own a basic striped shirt, or maybe you just want to update. Either way I found the perfect shirt.  

Yep, she’s perfect. I don’t know about you, but I love me a three-quarter length, crewneck shirt (and sweater). It’s perfect for every single season and for a whole variety of events. Take a look

Wishful Thinking

With every new season I find myself gravitating towards a certain style and very specific colors. I thought it would be fun to share my early summer wish list. None of the items are really surprising. I basically want a great nautical striped shirt and lots of pink and coral. Oh, and you also might just find a few flamingos along the way. What can I say? I know what I like! I know my wish list is also sorta random, but if you’re anything like me then maybe you also dream of floating on a large flamingo while donning Chanel lipstick.
