Need a fic set in the warehouse where they actually talk it out; not even just about what happened but other stuff too. Somewhere in the midst of this conversation, he does give up the shield, but they stay to talk more. Also maybe at some point John shows that emotion he shoved down when they came in.

(Probably goofy, but they are there long enough that food is ordered ).

anyways heres my sick and twisted winteragent fic idea. john keeps getting hurt on purpose during missions, because he misinterpreted the whole "did you ever throw yourself on top of a grenade?" conversation as bucky saying that john needs to put himself in danger in order to impress him. bucky completely misses the fact that john just wants his approval, and instead berates him for being a reckless dumbass.

I am sharing this once again since people seem to think Wyatt doesn't like John and thinks he's straight up evil like they do.

Yes, Wyatt's called him an asshole but it seems like Wyatt understands you can have that label but also still be good (because people are complex... i guess i don't see it as complex, but these people definitely would).
