With its yellow variegation, the Syngonium is a very special rarity among houseplants. As its leaves unfurl, they are light green. With later stages of growth, they become darker and the characteristic yellow variegation becomes visible. These small spots make the Syngonium podophyllum aurea-variegatum unique. Albo is a gorgeous rare coveted variety with typical arrowhead-shaped leaves and fantastic variegation. The dark green arrowhead-shaped leaves are marbled with large areas of pure white. '𝕄𝕠𝕠𝕟 𝕍𝕒𝕝𝕝𝕖𝕪' 𝙿𝚒𝚕𝚎𝚊 𝙼𝚘𝚕𝚕𝚒𝚜 Pilea mollis is a bushy trailing plant that features clusters of ovate, toothed, deeply dimpled, textured, dark green leaves (to 3” long) with dark bronze undertones and often light green edges. Leaf undersides are typically dark red. Tiny pink-green flowers in branched cymes in summer are not particularly showy. Some of you may know it as a friendship plant because it’s easy to start new plants from cuttings to pass along to friends. There is some confusion as to which species this Pilea belongs. Sometimes it is listed as Mollis and sometimes Involucrata(creeping plants that form dense mounds of textured leaves). But, there should be no confusion as to the identity of this distinct plant. "Moon Valley" has large deeply textured leaves. The leaves are chocolate brown in the center with a wide margin of lime green. In more shade, the leaves have more lime green in them. The growth habit is bushy. The tiny pink flowers form round clusters in the leaf axials. This file has a really dramatic appearance. In 1892, German colonial officer Walter von Saint Paul-Illaire identified these plants and sent seeds back to Germany. The genus came to be called Saintpaulia, though the plants have recently been re-categorized into a different genus, Streptocarpus. 𝔸𝕟𝕥𝕙𝕦𝕣𝕚𝕦𝕞 𝔸𝕣𝕚𝕤𝕒𝕖𝕞𝕠𝕚𝕕𝕖𝕤 The Anthurium Arisaemoides produces beautiful trisect leaves that are also bullate, setting them apart from almost every species in the genus. It belongs to the Dactyllophyllium section and is a herbaceous evergreen plant. It has terete or obtusely D-shaped or flattened petioles, and trisect leaf blades which are light green to dark green and very conspicuously bullate and subcoriaceous. The genus name Anthurium is derived from Greek anthos "flower" + ourá "tail" + New Latin ium-ium. ‘𝙰𝚜𝚒𝚊𝚗 𝙲𝚛𝚘𝚌𝚞𝚜’/‘𝚁𝚎𝚜𝚞𝚛𝚛𝚎𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝙻𝚒𝚕𝚢/𝙶𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚎𝚛' 𝕂𝕒𝕖𝕞𝕡𝕗𝕖𝕣𝕚𝕒 ℝ𝕠𝕥𝕦𝕟𝕕𝕒 Kaempferia rotunda is a perennial, stemless plant producing a pseudostem with 2 - 4 erect leaves from an underground rhizome that has small tuberous roots. Flowering stems are produced from the rhizome when no leaves are present. This was the original spring-blooming Kaempferia species. Unlike many summers blooming Peacock Gingers, the Kaempferia rotunda has a much more upright habit, often growing to 2 feet or more.
