Elijah told his followers to commit no acts of violence on ourselves or others. Every 24 seconds there’s a violent crime in America. Every hour there's a homicide. Since the year 2000, America is responsible for 4.5 million deaths in theaters of war.
Elijah told his followers no stealing, be kind and do good to all. 30 million Americans shoplift regularly. Trillions are stolen each year from Americans by Americans. America was stolen from Native Americans. Blacks were stolen from Africa. America steals resources from countries all over the world.
Elijah told his followers no drinking (wine, whiskey, beer, ale, alcohol, or other intoxicants). Every 45 minutes someone dies from a drunk driving crash. 140,000 Americans die every year as a result from harmful use of alcohol. Americans spend 253 billion a year on alcohol.
Elijah told his followers no dope (heroin, cocaine or any other). 37 million Americans use illicit drugs. Over 100,000 Americans die each year from using illicit drugs. Americans spend 150 billion on drugs every year.
Elijah told his followers no smoking of any kind (reefers or cigarettes, cigars or pipes). Smoking kills more than 480,000 Americans each year. Americans spend $80 billion on cigarettes each year. 48 million Americans smoke marijuana. Americans spend 30 billion a year on marijuana. Marijuana use directly affects the brain, specifically the parts of the brain responsible for memory, learning, attention, decision-making, coordination, emotion, and reaction time.
Elijah told his followers It is forbidden to eat the pig or its by-products. Each year in the United States, an estimated 525,000 infections, 2,900 hospitalizations, and 82 deaths are attributed to the consumption of pork.
Elijah told his followers no gambling of any kind (numbers, dice, cards, games of chance). About 85% of U.S. adults have gambled at least once in their lives, with 60% having gambled within the past year. 20 million Americans have a gambling problem. The suicide rate for a problem gambler is 15 times higher compared to a non gambler. Americans gamble an estimated $511 billion each year.
Elijah told his followers It is forbidden to commit fornication, adultery, and commit indecent acts on another (sodomy). Worldwide, nearly 1 in 3 women have been subjected to physical and/or sexual violence. Approximately 70 women commit suicide every day in America following an act of sexual violence. 81% of women and 43% of men have faced sexual harassment in their lives….
