I know we seem powerless. I know change seems improbable - impossible, even. I know it is difficult to believe.
But that will not stop us from hoping. A better future is out there. It is in our hands. We are fighting, every day, to make it possible. Every bit counts. Even your contributions, no matter how slim. A hundred 1 dollar bills is still a hundred dollars. We can do it. We can make it. Change will happen, and it will be for the better.
Just keep fighting.

Remember when the US lied about what they did to the Indigenous Americans?
Remember when the US lied about the Soviet Union?
Remember when the US lied about Korea and Vietnam?
Remember when the US lied about Martin Luther King being a terrorist?
Remember when the US lied about the crack epidemic?
Remember when the US lied about Iraq having nuclear missiles?
Remember when the US lied about China killing Uyghurs?
Remember when the US lied about the George Floyd protests?
Remember when the US lied about Palestine?
But hey, I'm sure that this time they're telling the truth, and we should definitely trust their claim that these pro-Palestine protestors, including the Jewish ones, are secretly antisemites!

Where are all the anti-abortion supporters who haven't spoken about the suffering of the Palestinian children? The ones who are losing their lives at such a young age, the ones who are too tired to cry, the ones who are traumatised, and the ones who have to witness their mother or father's death. The children who fight against the IDF. Where are y'all at? Y'all only speak about the ‘murder’ of children when y'all want to control women. InshAllah, you face the consequences and pain.

"This genocide is happening because the world is silent! People don't care that Palestinians are dying!"
I keep seeing posts like this. But I think the truly horrifying thing is that it's not true.
People do care. The world has not been silent. The civilians of the world have been calling for a ceasefire for months. They've contacted reps, boycotted companies supporting Israel, donated, posted on social media, and more. Not all people. And surely there are those who have done none of these, but many people have done at least one of the things on this list.
But despite it all, the politicians of the world have supported the genocide. Even the majority of the politicians who called for a ceasefire have seen it as a box to check; do it once, then forget about it except when mentioning it to constituents.
This has shown just how little politicians fear civilians.

And also needs to be said: the reason why the death toll in Gaza hovers at around 32,000 people is for the same reason the death toll from Covid during the Biden Admin stays at 800,000: because they took away any capacity to continue to count the dead.

biden refuses to do even the smallest, most obvious things. they announced they were going to sanction these perpetrators of crimes against humanity and then almost immediately backtracked.

i mean:
The Biden administration has determined that three military battalions with the Israel Defense Forces committed "gross human rights violations" against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank but will remain eligible for U.S. military aid regardless
this is not a defensible course of action

Murdered children are being eaten in the street by animals & they're concerned about whether you're nice and sweet enough while protesting it.

Before Israel killed him, Palestinian scholar Refaat Al Areer wrote to his daughter:
If I must die
you must live
to tell my story
Yesterday Israel killed his daughter Al-Shaymaa along with her husband and baby.
Who is going to tell Refaat and Shayma's story? Who's going to continue to tell the world how Israel obliterated entire bloodlines?
Refaat's poem continues to say
If I must die
let it bring hope
let it be a tale
We must promise to keep the tale alive and to uphold the legacy of Refaat, Shayma and the 40,000 others who were murdered by Israel in its ongoing genocide.
Try as they might, but Palestine will never die.
