This is a piece I ended up making for our abstract project in intermediate painting. I wanted my painting to be vibrant in color, with two types of objects being theming, so I chose bottle caps and skulls.

The painting itself is made out of both oil paint and acrylic paints, and real bottle caps glued onto the canvas as well as the sides of the frame. The canvas itself is 3 feet by 4 feet, making this currently the largest painting I have made (in this painting class, we build our own canvases, so I had to buy, cut, and nail wood to build the canvas myself).

I used a coyote skull I have as reference for the one in the piece, this paintings title is "Capote".

This is the first piece I made for my intermediate painting class.

We were to make photo realistic paintings of a landscape, using a picture we had taken ourselves. We were also encouraged to alter things about the image to make the painting look more interesting.

I used a picture I took from my favorite park. The paintings title is "Our Favorite Walk".

This is the painting I had created for my final for Beginning Painting class.

The theme of our final was to be based around food culture, foods we like, food that is connected to us. This is my photo-realistic piece off of a picture I had taken of some gyoza and fried calamari.

I named this piece "Gyoza for me, Calamari for you".

I tried to work on myself a lot through 2024, and it was expressed in my art a lot this year. Self-image, talent, the people I expose myself to, the person I try to be.

I got to take a painting class this year, and will take another next year, and though I'm a digital artist, I'm told my painting is really good for a beginner (September and November for reference).

I might have had less friends to draw in my art, but atleast I knew they care about me.

I hope next year I can make art I like, that's better, and shows who I am and what I like and care about.
