I miss it

I really hope one day I’ll be inspired to write about Frank and Karen again. Those characters mean a lot to me, and thinking about their dynamic makes me feel so happy. It’s emotionally satisfying to put creativity into characters that are so multidimensional. Part of that multidimensionality is because of the beautiful fanworks that have been right here on tumblr. The gorgeous art, the introspective writing, the all around good faith attempts at fleshing out characters that we’ve all grown so attached to. I’m still sad that the show was cancelled abruptly. There was so much room to grow.

Our goal is to consistently do one episode a week until we have a good back catalog.

I personally dont’ like starting a podcast unless it’s got quite a few episodes to listen to, so I understand the hesitancy to listen to something new. 

Plus, we’re still working on improving it. We took some suggestions into account and sort of adjusted the format of the podcast. If you’re bored and want to give it a listen, this episode is about an hour and half. We wanted to keep episodes under an hour, but there is a lot to talk about in a movie like The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

Also, we tried to make the podcast available on as many platforms as possible, so if you use things like apple podcasts, overcast, stitcher, etc, it should be there as well. All you have to do is search the name of the pod.

Steven and I watched The Perks of Being a Wallflower because I had never seen it before, and Steven considers it one of his top five favorite movies. We discussed teen angst, the talent of Ezra Miller, and the difficulty of dealing with mental illness as a young person. Go have a listen, we think we’re pretty fun adn insightful sometimes.

Hey I’ve been in the house bored and working from home (I feel SUPER lucky to have a job that is not only letting me work from home but also take whatever overtime I want) BUT I still have a lot of free time (it’s boring as shit walking through troubleshooting for cell phones for people) and I’ve been playing a lot of animal crossing lately and I’m to the point where I’m obsessed with furniture and accumulating as much cool things as possible. If any of my mutual followers want to come visit my island and catalog some things I have I’d be into it (and you know you could bring some things for me to catalog if you want, no pressure, although if you have the DIY for the cutting board come oooooon, I’ll trade almost anything for it since I know it’s not catalogueable 😂)

How come you haven't been sharing recent Kastle fics?

I actually haven’t been on Tumblr much lately. I started a new job and it’s taking up a lot of my time (and I have other things pulling my focus like a new relationship and some serious pain from a pinched nerve that makes it impossible to sit and do anything) so I only open the app probably twice a week and when I scroll through my dash if I see anything fandom related I’ll reblog it without thinking and then close tumblr.

Also I have a pretty severe ADHD and strangely enough with that comes the tendency to hyper fixate on things (like I did with kastle and everything that came along with it) but unfortunately it also comes with the tendency to move from one hyper fixation to another and I do feel myself moving away from my kastle fixation on to other things (and I don’t re-blog any fanfiction that I don’t read, and since I don’t feel the urge to read it as much lately, I definitely don’t re-blog it) And also, since I do compartmentalize my interests (And this blog was only for kastle and other Netflix marvel stuff) I simply don’t use this side blog as often as I did before).

Plus, I hate to be that person but when there’s not any new canonical content to draw from I kind of lose interest in things.
