Killian adjusted his sleeves, a rare smirk playing on his lips as he carefully layered the pistachio mousse over the delicate strawberry base. "Now, this—this is a masterpiece in the making," he mused, smoothing the surface with precision. "A Strawberry and Pistachio Mousse Cake, kissed with a tangy Red Berry Gelée—because why settle for ordinary when you can have extraordinary?" He leaned in, inspecting his work like a sculptor admiring his marble. "The pistachio brings that smooth, nutty elegance, the strawberry adds a touch of sweetness, and the gelée? Oh, that’s the zesty little surprise that ties it all together. It's refined, balanced, and just indulgent enough to make you forget your diet for the day." He winked, placing the final garnish. "Now, let’s see if anyone else can top this." @rededgechallenge

Killian chuckled, clapping Patrick on the shoulder. "Ah, the classics—getting drunk, botched flirting, and table dancing. A solid foundation, my friend. But if we’re aiming for creativity, how about we up the stakes? Let’s throw in a karaoke battle where the loser has to serenade the bouncer. Or maybe a game of 'who can sneak the most ridiculous item into the bar'—extra points for inflatable pool toys." He smirked. "And if you really want to impress the ladies, Patrick, nothing says 'confidence' like a guy in a cowboy hat riding a mechanical bull while quoting Shakespeare."
"I'd say it's just the regular amount of chaos tonight, I plan to get drunk, embarrass myself in front of a bunch of ladies that I'm shamefully failing at flirting with, and maybe dance on the tables a little bit...but feel free to pitch in, let's be creative."

Killian snorted, shaking his head. "Man, you’re a better person than me. Telling them to go away? That’s like asking a tornado to kindly take a detour. I would’ve just handed them a juice box and told them to sit in the penalty box of life until they could act like a functioning adult." He smirked, leaning in conspiratorially. "Hockey parents, though—they’re a whole different breed. I half expect one of them to show up next week in full goalie gear, ready to throw down over a missed offside call."
Emmett laughed. "I should have but in the moment, I didn't think of it. I just told them to go away and come back when they were in a better head space. I get hockey can be intense but not that damn intense."

Killian leaned back in his seat, pushing the sunglasses down his nose just enough to meet Atlas’s gaze, a smirk playing on his lips. “First of all, little brother, ‘full-blown chaos’ is my middle name. Stamina isn’t the question—you should be asking if you can keep up.” He tilted his head, feigning concern. “Second, the sunglasses? They’re not just for looking cool, although, let’s face it, that’s a bonus. They’re for shielding my eyes from the sheer amount of cringe I’ll have to endure when you inevitably butcher a karaoke classic.” He grinned, leaning forward. “And don’t worry about trouble—I’ve got a whole itinerary planned. Sunrise? That’s just the intermission.”
Atlas walking up to the car with a grin already tugging at the corners of his lips, let out a low chuckle at Killian’s theatrics. He leaned down, his hands resting casually on the edge of the door as he shot his brother an amused look. “Question is.” He said, smirking. “Do you have the stamina for ‘full-blown chaos,’ or are we going to have to carry your sorry ass home after a round of karaoke?” He cocked his head, scanning the night like it held all the answers. "I’m all for a little mischief. His gaze flickered to the sunglasses, and he raised an eyebrow. “Sunglasses after dark, huh? You planning on getting us into trouble before sunrise, or are you just trying to look cool while doing it?”

Killian grinned, nodding enthusiastically. "Hell yeah, we should! This beats sunny Red Edge any day—no offense to the sun worshippers. And as for the girls, I bet they'd be all in. Valentina? She’d probably be the one shoving us down the hill herself just to make sure we went for it." He laughed, shaking his head. "She's got that 'no hesitation' energy, you know?"
Teddy nodded agreeing with him " Yeah I think I kinda like it better than staying in Red Edge . Where it's sunny everyday and no hills or snow to sled on. This is awesome," he said. " Hell yeah we should. Maybe we should get the girls to ride with us. You think they'd come?" he asked him.

Killian leaned out of the driver’s side window, sunglasses on even though it was well past sunset, and flashed a grin as his friend approached the car. "So," he drawled, drumming his fingers on the steering wheel like he was auditioning for a movie trailer voiceover, "what sort of trouble are we getting into tonight? Mild mischief? Questionable karaoke? Or are we talking full-blown ‘call a lawyer and regret everything tomorrow’ levels of chaos?" He waggled his eyebrows dramatically. "I’m prepared for all scenarios, but fair warning—I only brought bail money for one of us." @rededgerpstarterblog

Killian let out a low whistle, shaking his head with a sympathetic smile. "Wow, Emmett, that’s a rollercoaster of a morning if I’ve ever heard one. Starting off with Cornelia Street is solid—it’s a vibe. But dealing with a drunk parent? Not so much. Sounds like you’ve already earned the gold medal for patience today." He paused, smirking. "Next time, just hand them a playlist and say, ‘Here’s some Taylor Swift to help you sober up before we talk again.’ Problem solved."
"I woke up with Cornelia Street stuck in my head and that was okay but then I had a drunk parent get mad at me for saying they couldn't be at practice they were drunk so my day has been interesting so far." @rededgerpstarterblog

Killian stood in the soft glow of fairy lights he’d carefully strung across their little garden, his heart pounding as he watched Valentina step outside. He froze for a moment, watching. Killian stepped forward, a crooked smile tugging at his lips as he extended his hand to her. “Surprise,” he murmured, his voice warm and laced with love. “I couldn’t wait for a special occasion to remind you how much you mean to me.” @valentinaxlopezx

Killian grinned, pulling off his own helmet and running a hand through his tousled hair. "Absolutely! I never expected it to be this exhilarating. The speed, the scenery—it's like flying over a winter wonderland!" He glanced back at the trail they had just conquered, the sun glinting off the pristine snow. "Seriously, we need to make this a regular thing. Snowboarding will always have its place, but this? Totally next level!" His eyes sparkled with excitement. "What do you say we take another lap?"
"Woohoo! Man that was a rush! I think I like snowmobiling more than snowboarding," Teddy nodded before taking his helmet off to look at the person next to him. " Wasn't this a great idea?" he asked. @rededgerpstarterblog

"Axel, I get where you're coming from! It's wild how some people still fall for those scams. The internet can be a confusing place, especially for those who didn’t grow up with it. Maybe a digital literacy class for the older generation could help? It’s all about making sure they can navigate this stuff safely. But hey, at least it gives us some entertaining stories, right?"
"Someone needs to take technology away from Boomers and older people. I just heard this woman at one of the shops say that the Facebook told her that she was going to win money because of her profile being randomly selected by Mark himself." @rededgerpstarterblog

Killian stepped through the door, balancing a small stack of colorful magazines and a bag that rustled suspiciously with every step. His face lit up the moment he saw Val curled up on the couch. “Okay, hear me out,” he began, kicking the door shut behind him with a flourish. “I might have gone overboard, but I had the best idea for the wedding favors, and I couldn’t wait to tell you.” He dropped the bag onto the coffee table, revealing a mix of tiny sample jars, fabric swatches, and what looked like a handwritten list of quirky suggestions. “Spoiler alert—there’s glitter involved,” he added with a sheepish grin, his eyes sparkling with excitement. @valentinaxlopezx

Killian smirked, leaning casually against the counter. "Fancy dresses and generational wealth? Ambitious. You’d fit right in at a royal court, Rosalie." He paused, his grin softening into something more sincere. "But coming back? That’s the part I like best about your plan because I don't think you'd return." He teases. When she mentioned Friendsgiving, his brows lifted in surprise. "You’re going? That’s great! I mean, free food and people to laugh with—it’s hard to say no to that, right?" He hesitated for a moment before adding, "You’ll have a good time, I’m sure of it. And if anyone gives you trouble, just imagine them wearing one of your fancy dresses. Works every time." To be fair, Killian honestly wasn't sure if he'd be attending the Friendsgiving because of work issues but he made a promise to Val to be there and he hates disappointing her.
"Hey, I'd only go back and get some fancy dresses and make sure my family had a long line of generational wealth, okay?" Rosalie laughed. "Then I'd come back." She shrugged. "Thank you, Killian. I'm going to that Friendsgiving, actually."

Honesty day
What scientific or technological advance blows your mind?
OH man, making me let out my inner nerd huh? Alright, well the James Webb Space Telescope absolutely blows my mind. Its ability to peer deep into the universe, capturing light from billions of years ago, essentially allows us to look back in time and study the formation of stars, galaxies, and even the origins of our cosmos. The precision and complexity of the engineering that went into building a telescope that can operate in such extreme conditions—unfolding in space, staying in the shadow of the Earth, and detecting incredibly faint signals—is nothing short of miraculous. The images it produces, with stunning clarity and detail, inspire both awe and a profound sense of how small we are in the vastness of the universe.

Killian leaned back in his chair, a thoughtful expression crossing his face. "Yeah, seriously. It’s wild to see how so many people just go through the motions without really digging deeper. Like, when did we start accepting the surface-level stuff as enough?" He sighed, running a hand through his hair. “But hey, I’m good, man. Just trying to navigate through the noise, you know? Helping Val plan the wedding and everything. What about you?”
"Man, that is a good idea." Axel looked at Killian and chuckled. "It's fucking crazy how much people just don't think you know? It's sad too, but crazy at the same time." He shook hsi head and looked at Killian. "How are you doing?"

Killian grinned, leaning closer. "Tudor times, huh? You’d rock the fancy dresses, but you do realize there’s no Wi-Fi or coffee shops, right? You’d be trading scrubs for corsets and, like, daily plague vibes." He laughed, then added, "But hey, congrats on almost being a nurse. Just think of it—modern medicine, no leeches required." Looking at his friend, Killian gives her a small nod, "Seriously though if you ever need anything I'm here for you. Do you have any plans for Thanksgiving this year?"
"You better, I totally wanna go back to Tudor times and get myself some fancy ass dresses from that time period." Rosalie joked and looked a thim. "Thank you and honestly, I just need to finish my own school year this year and I'll officially be a nurse."
