AU Challenge - Hope Island
“Do not ever let me see you anywhere near me or my family again, do you understand?” Sieanna asked the person who she was “visiting” in the hospital. She had her hand on the cord to their air supply and her eyes were dark with rage and hatred towards this person, though that’s how she looked at a lot of people.
She was in charge of a dangerous and powerful family and she liked to use that danger and power to make sure people didn’t cross her bad side. “Do you understand me?” She asked and a small smirk came onto her lips when the person agreed.
“Good, now we won’t have another issue like this, will we?”
Another nod from the person in the bed.
“Good.” Sienna let go of the breathing tube. “Remember what’ll happen if you forget this...conversation we had.” She whispered in that person’s ear and left the room.
Turning to the two people who had accompanied her, she looked at them and said, “Make sure the next time he’s seen is for his funeral.” She ordered and walked away.

Red Edge Talent Show | Dance
Mila decided to let go of her talent of baking and dig into her others. She thought about singing but then felt she didn't sound that good to showcase that. She also felt that everyone who was chosen to do that challenge probably would go with singing. Then she thought about painting but she didn't want to bore everyone with how long she took. So she went with dancing instead. It was her strongest suit and she remembered how much fun she us to have doing it. Instead of doing it by herself, she called up one of her professional dancing friends, that she met in France to come up with a dance with her.
As she stood there on the floor waiting for her que, she took a deep breath and let her feet guide her through the music as it started. @rededgechallenge

Emma hadn't exactly been thrilled about having to do a talent show. She wasn't one to be on stage or stand in the spotlight. She didnt really see herself as a person of many talents, but something she had learned in her free time, something no one really knew she could do, sign language, was something she decided to showcase as a talent for this challenge.
When her name was called, she stepped onto the stage with soft footsteps and steady breath, dressed in pale blue with her hair gently pulled back. She offered the audience a shy smile and a small wave, then positioned herself center stage. A soft spotlight followed her—not too bright—just enough to hold the room’s attention.
The opening notes of “Imagine” floated through the speakers, and Emma raised her hands.
She signed the words gently, each motion fluid and full of meaning.
“Imagine there’s no heaven…” Her hands moved upward, then brushed away the sky, as if asking the audience to let go of everything they knew—just for a moment.
She didn’t perform to impress. She communicated. Her expressions carried as much weight as her hands—soft brows, a hopeful smile, quiet urgency in her eyes as she signed:
“Imagine all the people, living life in peace…”
There was a stillness in the room, a kind of hushed awe. No one whispered. No one scrolled. They just watched.
Emma didn’t need backup dancers or pyrotechnics. Her hands painted meaning in the air.
“You may say I’m a dreamer…” Her expression turned inward, a small shrug and a wistful smile, like even she knew the world didn’t always make space for kindness—but she’d never stop hoping for it.
By the time she signed the last line—
“And the world will live as one…” —there was a deep stillness in the room. The kind that holds respect.
Emma paused for a heartbeat at the end, hands resting gently at her heart, before bowing with her head down and a soft smile. No curtsy. No over-the-top gesture. Just gratitude.
As she got off stage she let out a deep breath she felt like she had forgotten to let out before. She did it, she survived standing on stage in front of everyone, what a relief. Now she just hoped it had been worth it and she wouldn't get blasted for the second time. @rededgechallenge

Talent Show Challenge | Wave's End District
Being an active member in the theater community, Julian was more excited for this challenge. However, that might have something to do with his love of the spotlight more than anything. He knew how to put on a good show and this show was going to be one that everyone who saw it, would pass down for generations. Was he being cocky? Yes, of course he was. But if he wasn't cocky and confident, then he had no business doing this challenge.
Walking to the courtyard dressed as Fiyero from Wicked, he couldn't help but have a cocky grin on his face as he waited for those who wanted to watch, were quiet and all eyes were on him.
"Excellent." He said with a smile. He cleared his throat and turned on the microphone that was attached to him. "As you can see, I am here to put on a show and yes, I am dressed as Fiyero. I will be singing Dancing Through Life from Wicked."
Without waiting for anyone to ask any questions or protest, he began to sing, and boy, did he put on a show. He knew this song like the back of his hand, hell, he knew most of Broadway shows like the back of his hand and he wanted to bring that spark that Broadway had to Red Edge and in this challenge.
When he finished the song, he took a bow and heard a round of applause and like Lady Gaga, it was something he lived for. "Thank you, thank you!" He bowed again and waved before turning his microphone off and leaving the courtyard. @rededgechallenge

❝ Let's make Lemon Bars! ❞
Tumblr media Tumblr media
❝ This is my favorite comfort food because it's one of the first recipes I learned to make. I had this recipe memorized at one point. Having the treat always brings back memories of spending time with mom and brother, baking. You know- takes me back to a happy place. ❞
Tumblr media
The TikTok began with all the ingredients and supplies neatly arranged on Donny's kitchen counter. The camera was expertly framed, focusing solely on Donny and the bowl, leaving the surrounding details out of view.
❝ First thing you wanna do is preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking dish with parchment paper. Now this is very important: You must use a glass baking dish. My momma said so.❞
In the next shot, Donny was seen walking into the frame. With precision, he added four ingredients one by one into a clear bowl.
❝ 1 cup softened butter ❞
❝ 1/2 cup granulated sugar ❞
❝ 2 cups all-purpose flour ❞
❝ 1/4 teaspoon salt ❞
❝ Mix all together until you form a crumbly dough. Then dump into your baking dish, and press the dough evenly to create a solid crust. I'm using the bottom of a glass cup, but you can use anything to press it together. Pop that in the oven for about 25 minutes. I like my curst to be golden brown.❞
The scene transitioned to Donny closing the oven door.
❝ My mom was big on baking, and I'd always say this was my favorite pie. ❞ With a cheerful laugh, Donny squeezed the juice out of a few lemons. ❝ And lasagna was my favorite cake,❞ More laughter. ❝ but yeah, baking was, like, our family activity. I haven't done much since then but I still enjoy the treats.❞
Tumblr media
The camera cut to a different shot of Donny, who was now back by the ingredients. Once more, he skillfully added ingredients into the clean, clear bowl, one by one.
❝ Okay, let's get started on the filling! Whisk together 2 cups of sugar, 4 eggs, 1/4 cup of flour, 1/3 cup of fresh lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of lemon zest, and 1/2 teaspoon baking powder.❞
The scene shifted to Donny's timer going off, and he quickly pulled a hot pan out of the oven.
❝ Crust is done, so we're going to stab it a few times with a fork, and immediately pour the filling on it. We're going to pop it back in the oven for another 30 minutes. ❞
The camera cut to the timer going off once more, and Donny carefully removed the freshly baked lemon bars from the oven.
❝ Let them cool for about 10 minutes, before you lift them out using the parchment paper. Place them on a wire rack to finish cooling.❞
Camera cut to a new shot, where Donny was seen putting on sunglasses, while the lemon bars had now completely cooled.
❝ Top them off with as much powdered sugar your heart desires, slice em up, and enjoy. And that's how you make my favorite comfort food. Comment what your favorite comfort food is. Recipe is linked in the description!❞

L I N K E D R E C I P E :
For the crust:
1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
For the lemon filling:
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons lemon zest
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Powdered sugar
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a 9x13-inch glass baking dish with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal.
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, 2 cups flour, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Mix until the ingredients come together and form a crumbly dough.
Press the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish, creating a solid crust. You can use your fingers or the bottom of a glass to help smooth it out.
Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until it turns a light golden brown.
While the crust is baking, prepare the lemon filling. In a separate bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, eggs, flour, lemon juice, lemon zest, and baking powder until well combined.
When the crust is done, remove it from the oven and immediately pour the lemon filling over the hot crust.
Return the baking dish to the oven and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes, or until the lemon filling is set and the edges turn golden brown.
Remove the lemon bars from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 10 minutes.
Once the bars have cooled slightly, lift them out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang, and place them on a wire rack to cool completely.
Once the bars are completely cool, dust the top with a generous amount of confectioners' sugar.
Cut the lemon bars into squares or rectangles and serve. Enjoy!

Sweet Treat Challenge; Pirate's Cove
Jayce moved swiftly through the mayor’s lavish kitchen, the weight of the challenge pressing down on him. This wasn’t just about baking—it was about survival. If he failed, his deepest, darkest secret would be exposed, and that wasn’t an option. He sifted the almond flour and powdered sugar with precision, keeping his hands steady despite the tension clawing at his chest. Folding the meringue into the batter, he focused on each movement, blocking out the grandeur of the mansion and the eyes watching his every move. As the macarons baked, their soft pink hue deepened, filling the space with the scent of sugar and cherries. But there was no time to admire them—failure meant consequences he couldn’t afford.
Once the shells cooled, he quickly prepared the cherry buttercream, blending the purée until smooth. Every second counted, and hesitation wasn’t an option. He piped the filling, pressed the macarons together, and arranged them meticulously on the platter, ensuring not a single flaw could be found. As he stepped back, heart pounding, the moment of judgment arrived. The first bite would decide everything. He kept his face unreadable, but inside, he was bracing for the outcome. Winning or losing didn’t matter—what mattered was keeping his secret buried, no matter what it took.

Killian adjusted his sleeves, a rare smirk playing on his lips as he carefully layered the pistachio mousse over the delicate strawberry base. "Now, this—this is a masterpiece in the making," he mused, smoothing the surface with precision. "A Strawberry and Pistachio Mousse Cake, kissed with a tangy Red Berry Gelée—because why settle for ordinary when you can have extraordinary?" He leaned in, inspecting his work like a sculptor admiring his marble. "The pistachio brings that smooth, nutty elegance, the strawberry adds a touch of sweetness, and the gelée? Oh, that’s the zesty little surprise that ties it all together. It's refined, balanced, and just indulgent enough to make you forget your diet for the day." He winked, placing the final garnish. "Now, let’s see if anyone else can top this." @rededgechallenge
