Questions that we are confronting in 2023 (so far!)

Does the expectation I was given at 14 for how people I see as more than friends should text me actually make sense at my big age of two weeks shy of thirty? 

Devoid of said norm above, what is MY actual texting style? Have I ever interrogated that?

Is the way I show up in relationship a reaction to how other people behave or truly a response to my needs and desires? If it’s the former, how do I begin to move it towards the latter?

What does everyday vulnerability look like? 

How do I gracefully navigate seasons where the answer isn’t as simple as “hold on” or “let go”? How do I maintain the confidence to see the grey, even if the world begs me to flatten it to black and white? 

How do I trust my own intuition as it leads me to betray conventional wisdom? Who do I trust to hold my unknown with grace instead of fear? Will that sometimes only be myself?

On the flip side, how do I trust my hard no, even when that looks like disloyalty or betrayal to others? How do I enact my hard no sooner so that I betray myself and others less?

How do I convince my family that me loving them in their lane and putting up boundaries to prevent them from tryna veer into mine is not the same as me not loving them at all, and actually my boundaries are meant to ensure that we actually are able to have some type of relationship?

How do I continue to trust myself to be seen, in big and small ways? How do I become comfortable with letting myself be seen? Can they really not see me, or have I not shown myself to them?
