The definition doesn't have to be negative.
Reblog if your illness does define you
Reblog if your illness has shaped your outlook on life and the world.
Reblog if your illness has warped your perceptions of people and social situations.
Reblog if your illness has altered some of the most fundamental aspects of your personality.
Reblog if your illness has impacted all of your relationships, and even been the reason for the beginning or end of some.
Reblog if your illness is often the cause of your moods and emotions, and affects nearly all of your moods and emotions in regard to other things.
Reblog if your illness has changed the strength of your virtues, from compassion and tolerance, to perseverance and determination, to gratitude and generosity.
Reblog if your illness has been a part of your life for so long that you honestly can’t differentiate the parts of your identity that are influenced by your illness from the parts that aren’t influenced by your illness.
Most importantly, please reblog this if you’re okay with your illness being on the incredibly long list of things that define you. Reblog if you don’t feel like your identity has to be completely undefined by your illness in order be valid. Reblog if you don’t necessarily like the parts of yourself that come from your illness, but don’t think that makes them any less you.

I wanted to post here my comprehensive list of symptoms and problems associated with the variation my family has, periodic paralysis plus, it closely relates to andersen tawil syndrome and don't know the exact difference they hold as the symptoms are similar in both including the long qt syndrome not seen in other periodic paralysis variants. My aunts blog has been taken down and I didn't want to lose this list which is hers from research done on the matter. I have almost all of the symptoms listed here.

July 7th 2017 9months 17 days I mustered up all my strength to go on an outing with Kora since she's been pretty much at home with me on my recent days off, I've had trouble having the energy to move. Today we ended up walking around the lake and going to petco, nothing too fancy because I'm still not feeling all that great but the dogs needed new toys and I needed some sun, so off we went. First to the lake to get the jitters out. We mostly just practiced heeling around the lake instead of standard walking where she gets to wander and sniff. She wanted to be the leader like she always is but soon settled into her heel ignoring a dog and a few people that we passed. We stopped at a park bench and practiced staying with me and her unders since she was refusing to go in the shade. Its always harder for Kora to stay focused on training with deezal around but she did well even if she wanted to play with her brother she listened to what I wanted her to do instead. We passed another dog and a man that I had her ignore and she only had a slight hiccup with the dog but she's getting tons better there (by hiccup I mean she loves to meet every dog she sees and will whine when she can't, were working on her ignoring the dog and not having any reaction to them). Next we went to petco. Here we also worked on a lot of heeling and leaving things alone, having her stay in a sit next to me or a down while I was looking at shelves. She didn't try to grab anything from the shelves today and was much more focused then usual. She still loved saying hi to her ferret friends and looking at the birds but didn't even notice there was a cat there today. She was not happy about a dog that lunged at her...the owner promptly left right after but she went right back to being focused after. I was looking in the clearance bin for a good amount of time and she just waited patiently. Finally she's getting away from always wanting to pull away and go elsewhere and I only had to remind her to leave the bully sticks alone once (they were right by the clearance bin). It could have been better but again I didnt have the energy for it and the little bit we did took the rest of the energy I had for the whole day. Once we were home I made the pull tabs and we practiced her get and tug commands. Soon she will be able to help me take my laundry basket to the laundry room but we were both trained out and kept it fun with a game of tug instead (she got a click and treat when she tugged when I told her to). All in all not a bad day and we will all sleep well tonight.

I love team photos when were matching. We still have a lot to work on but I'm glad Kora is getting used to tucking near the products so I can look at them without anyone stepping on her or her being in the way. I was very proud of this down stay since she is attached to my hip and longer stays is something we've been working toward.
