Congratulations to our friends - the new Kealoha’s! Yesterday the two tied the knot in a beautiful wedding venue. Kale absolutely lloves nature and flowers and owns her own gardening place, so she had the table where the two sat custom designed. Makoah had Vaea as his best man and the two looked so handsom <3

Since I didn’t know about this fancy site, I figured that I would recap my look from Vaea and I’s wedding. Hopefully, when we renew our vows in the next few years, you’ll get another look!

But anyways, our wedding was tropical themed because, duh, why not. It was under an arch with a couple close friends attending. I had just given birth to Jovah, but I felt nothing but pride with my extra weight. I stood up there and vowed to my husband that I would love him unconditionally and he did the same. 

The white top was knitted by an elder on the island who passed away shortly after the wedding. I keep it safe in the attic with a plastic life lock on around it. The skirt is also up there and was sown by my mother. I did the hair myself and Vaea picked out the ring.

Nothing can break a brother and sister bond <3 Since Val has arrived, Jovah and Kaluah have been sticking to each other’s side. When they’re not helping with their baby sis, they are playing in the ocean, building sandcastles, or helping with some household chores together. Kaluah even attempts to help him with his homework.

A new sibling won’t put a damper on this beach lovin’, sand scultpure building girl! She wouldn’t let me near it. She wanted to do this all by herself!!

Since Lilah and Valentine (Val, for short) have been home the two young ones haven’t left her side. We celebrated Jovah’s birthday yesterday (cool - Val’s bday is the day before Jovah’s). He is a child. Where did the time go? My first son, making me proud everyday. 

Anyway, the two kids have been nothing but help since the girls have come. Kaluah is still a little too young to hold the baby by herself but with the help of Jovah and a comfy spot on the couch, the two fawn over their baby sister together. 

I’ve said it once, i’ll say it again, and every day after that until my dying breath. 

I am blessed.

Welcome to the world, Valentine Misipeka!

Our beautiful baby GIRL was born today! She was a hefty baby, a couple days later than expected, and a hell of a fighter! Longest time in labor for Lilah (so far). 

Mom and baby are healthy and beautiful and resting. I’ll tell you what, I am the luckiest man alive. Because of my wife, I have three healthy babies and a lifetime full of memories ahead.

Ridle Rose

Renovation: complete! Vaea and I picked up this renovation hobby when we first met. We love to do it on the weekends when the kids hangout with their grandparents! This was our first ever renovation, a beautiful tiny starter home that originally had 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, and a living space. It was difficult to map out what we wanted to do and actually knocked down a wall to make 2 living spaces and one bedroom, one bathroom. There is a bit of yardage and a lovely spot along the river of Willow Creek.

Vaea and I decided that 3 was going to be our stopping point. We tried so hard for baby number 3 and after so many attempts and a fertility treatment, it actually happened. Like Jovah and Kaluah, we decided to keep the gender a secret. We have never had a gender reveal party either, just enjoyed the life we made with our little family! We like to do photoshoots with the bumps as time goes on. If only I had thought of this whole blogging thing sooner! (Maybe a fourth will come from this?!) 

I’m in my nesting stages now. I’m getting the home ready for our little one and giving Jovah and Kaluah the most love that I can before the little one arrives. If you have any name suggestions, let me know! So far, it’s only been Jovah and Kaluah’s suggestions and I’m not interested in naming them Apple or Fart. Call me crazy!

Hey, all! Lilah here. Just wanted to show you where we lived! We purchased some land and decided that it was perfect for us to actually live on and expand as we please! Not show is the garden that I am super proud of, but a separate post will come with that! We love our island of Sulani and can’t wait to show you more of our little home!

Hello! 

We are the Misipeka’s and welcome to our blog! We are a tiny (but growing) family who enjoy the island life to it’s full extent!

(Starting from the left)

Jovah is a toddler, soon to be a child. He enjoys playing in the sand and with his favorite toy, Chompa the Monsta! He loves his mama and papa with his entire itty-bitty heart and isn’t affraid to get a little sandy. 

Lilah is a Young Adult who once aspired to be a Figure Skater. She spent her entire childhood in Del Sol Valley and trained almost everyday to be a professional athlete. When she heard about Sunali, she decided to drop everything and move to a tiny bungalo on the beach. She realized she enjoyed being a scuba diver and opted for the occupation until she discovered gardening. Lilah is now a stay-at-home mom who provides for her family by growing their delicious healthy fruits and vegetables! She is also expecting a third baby. 

Vaea was a lonely food stall boy when he had first met Lilah. She was dating a muscle head who didn’t like Vaea too much, but he still won Lilah’s heart. Vaea decided to leave his career as a food stand boy and was unemployed until he entered the military career. He now stands as a Warrant Officer for the army while still making time to be a loving husband and father. 

Kaluha, the most recent addition to the family and promtly named after her parent’s favorite drink, is the heartbreaker of the family. If it isn’t her sweat giggle or her caramel eyes that wins you over, it’s her charming and angelic personality. She is often playing along side her brother in the sand or sitting in the ocean and playing with shells. She really loves the environment and the creatures that come with it! 

The family of four, soon to be five, live on the island of Sulani in their custom built home. They enjoy the easy access to the water and the community that surrounds them!
