5 Things you should never do/say to an artist

 So I wanted to talk about something real quick as you call tell by the title so let’s just get into it

1: Never compare art styles

I`ve had this happen to me and it didn’t feel good I felt like if I ever showed my art people would think I’m a copycat and that’s why I have a strong anxiety over posting stuff you guys have no idea  I`ve also seen this happen to other artists and it`s not cool I know you probably use it as a complaint but it`s not

2: Shaming

Shaming what an artist draw/creates it’s just plain rude if what they are making makes them happy and they’re not hurting anyone let them be  

3: Say digital art isn’t “real” art

This is the most frustrating, digital art is real art because you still have to draw the picture it’s just on a tablet instead of paper so it is real art and digital artists try just as hard as traditional artist

4: Gender

Ok i had this happen to me it’s when someone makes fun of your art because you draw one gender when I was starting out drawing humans i started of with males and once we had an assignment in class (language arts) to make up our own characters so I made it a boy and when we had to share the character with someone else he said to me “ooooo is that your dream boy~” first off I found it embarrassing so much that I scraped that character and change the whole story and I was really happy with it, it’s just rude just because I’m a girl doesn’t mean I have to draw just girls

5: Just be nice

Never insult an artist no matter what rank in skill they are they are trying and that’s all that matters it’s just rude and you could make them give up on their dream i almost gave up but because of my friends and family i was able to continue and look where I am now

I noticed that in the last year of letters from Alexander Hamilton and John Laurens, Alexander becomes less affectionate in his letters. In early letters his goodbye’s were always:

But then in the the last several letters Alexander sends to John are but simply signed off with:

In John’s letters to Alexander he doesn’t write much affection- though it becomes obvious through the things he wrote that he really cared for Alexander. When Alexander begins to become distant he starts becoming more protective:

and begins signing off his letters with more affection and in his last letter to Alexander (that we have found) he writes one of the most affectionate things he’s ever written to Alexander

Something must of changed in their correspondence, while Alexander is growing more distant, John is growing more affectionate. The mood changed and Alexander in the last letter he wrote to John seems to have realized how much he missed John writing to him:

His partings change and instead of simply writing “adieu” he begins writing with the affection he wrote with before. It is doubtful that John ever received Alexander’s last letter. Which means John died thinking that Alexander was loosing his love for him.
