something that i think most leftists fundamentally do not understand is this: the basic seed of white supremacism is not and has never been “white people are good and everyone else is bad”. the basic seed of white supremacism has always been “white people are capable and everyone else is incapable”. when explicit arguments in favor of white supremacy are put forth, they are almost always take this form. never “white people are the kindest and the most virtuous” always “white people have achieved, they have conquered, where no others have”. this is why the liberal idpol thing of “all badness in the world is the result of european imperialism” actually more or less supports a white supremacist narrative. sure, the value judgements are different, but the basic belief that white people are the driving force of history is almost identical. stop it! this shit is not helpful!

i completely understand & agree with the backlash against students using chatgpt to get degrees but some of you are out here saying "getting a degree in xyz means pulling multiple consecutive all-nighters and writing essays through debilitating migraines and having severe back pain from constantly studying at your desk and chugging energy drinks until you get a kidney stone and waking up wishing you were dead every day, and that's just part of the natural process of learning!!!" and like. umm. i don't think that any of us should have had to endure that either. like maybe the solution for stopping students from using anti-learning software depends on college institutions making the process of learning actually sustainable on the human body & mind rather than a grueling health-destroying soul-crushing endeavor

i keep getting fines for “excessive water consumption” it’s not my fault that the basement prison cells all need their own toilets and showers. and like the prisoners are not pulling their weight AT ALL. all they do is sleep and be scared of the rats all day instead of painting with the easels i provided so the fines are really putting a financial strain on the household. if i didn’t need them for their plasma i would have killed them all already because this is nottt as financially lucrative as i thought it would be

As you all know I'm a good friend of Mohammad Ayesh ( @moayeshblog ) and I've seen him work tireless to help others at the expense of helping himself and his own interests. From his work with @gaza-evacuation-funds and @ihyaafoundation. And I'd like to advocate for his own fundraiser right now.

The living situation in Gaza is catastrophic and he is no exception. He is still a very young man but he's shouldering the huge responsibility of his family, by going out every single day to find what little food is even available in Gaza to provide for his family. Only 1 kilo of flour is 30 dollars. That's just enough to make around 12 small loaves of bread. And this needs to feed 8 people for a whole day. And that's just a small glimpse of the daily life that Mohammad is living with his whole family.
