One day, Wren wakes up covered in blood, suffering from memory loss, and surrounded by the remnants of some strange cult ritual. SPINES is the story of her search for answers, and the deadly, powerful people she encounters along the way. Listen to the complete series now.

SPINES starts as a podcast within a podcast, as Wren spends each episode investigating a lead to her past which draws her into contact with different paranormal situations and characters. Later on, it becomes a bit more thriller oriented than mystery. It features a great performance from the leading actress and some really neat body horror. It's apparently also been adapted into a novel.

It didn't get as many seasons as it wanted, so the ending feels a little abrupt, but it's definitely still worth a listen.

Perfect for fans of dark moodiness in their weird body horror. Or if you thought TMA should have a little dose of the X-Men.

I finally got a chance to do what I've been meaning to do for a while and hand-color a copy of the Pasithea Powder minizine.

It doesn't look great, because the only set of colored pencils I could find is one without any that are really skin-toned (...possibly I should have just chosen three colors and made a limited palette out of them) (whoops) but I've had an extremely long and stressful work day that was simultaneously mostly waiting, and I needed something to do with my hands, even if the end result was imperfect (and is probably going to look even worse in daylight).

And there's something to be said for having a little physical object to hold at the end of the process. Look at it! It's cute.
