it's interesting too that you bring up mad woman and vigilante shit because they ring so hollow to me! they all feel so telly instead of showy and who's afraid to me paints such a vivid picture with the evil carnival imagery. like mad woman is just "i'm mad watch out" vigilante shit is just "i'm doing revenge watch out" and then you get "don't you worry folks we took out all her teeth" and i'm immediately at attention like "why did you need to do that what did she do??!?!" and she can levitate??! that's scary!

i feel the anger in mad woman and vigilante shit and something about them being /quieter/ songs actually feels more threatening, like a simmering anger. waolom has some good lyrics but it’s just too over the top for me to take it super seriously!

waolom immediately was a favourite for me as a Reputation girlie like it's all I Did Something Bad, Look What You Made Me Do, This Is why We Can't Have Nice Things Et Cetera glory all the way down. It's the kind of angry woman song I take on as a my personality usually. You're so brave to openly say it doesn't do anything for you.

valid, it's definitely very popular especially with the rep girlies. i just think rep did it better, or vigilante shit/mad woman. i think i need to assign a fictional character to it to like it more
