Low vs. too high
When someone has low self-esteem and feel bad about themself, people tend to praise them into the sky: “You’re unique.”, “You’re special.”, “You’re such a beautiful person on the inside.” But whenever someone shows a little too much self-esteem or think a little too highly of themself, they apparently need to be brought down immediately: “Who do you think you are?”, “Don’t be so arrogant.”, “Get down from your high horse!”.
