ACT I: THE RED ROOMS II (including in-character player RP)

As the discussions of who murdered Crux go on, people start to feel watched and notice people following them as they're looking for clues. One of the players, El, found several eyes plastered all over their home on every surface possible as a threat. Additionally, one of the members, Izotl began to act a bit weird, being withdrawn and nervous, and the group pass it off as worry. As the players have another emotional talk with Sylvan, Sylvan vents about wanting to get his hands on the murderer and make them suffer. It didn't take long until people started getting suspicious about Izotl since they matched descriptions of the perpetrator in Strawberries and mentions surrounding "Claws" as the only person in the group who matches the look of the first clue is a jaguar, which Iz had a violent "spirit"/side named Jag, and had accidentally murdered Crux.

As they continued to read over their evidence and make connections between the "gods" in, upon visiting the Red Rooms again, its told in the chat that the players feel watched. They began to explore the four infinitely looping rooms--each of them containing blurbs from or about the "entities" in question, and in each personal "island," there were audio discs that depicted how each of the "entities" perished with more song lyrics and clues, now people discovering Crux was not the only victim.

People also notice with Crux's island, his body that was once there was dragged off with a blood trail leading to the void. (Video was too large for Tumblr, hosted on YT with timestamps.)

On Arietta's Lunar Pillars, in the chat it says you can hear faint sobs from somewhere. In Esmeralda's Celestial Woodlands, it says the land reeks of corruption. In Crux's Zen Garden, you find a trail of blood next to the tree, and a hidden door in Crux's tree to Iz's Island, saying you notice a glint coming from the small house as you're taken to their island where there is a book called Petunias and a copy of a Soul Revival Book.

Finally, in Soliana's Solar Runes, the corruption was spreading more and more. When they visited Iz's island, they got the confirmation that they were guilty. Jackson and Ember confronted Iz about this, and they broke down and eventually ran away when their interrogation ended up being a little more intense, unable to come to terms with what they did, even if it was an accident.

After this subtle change and threat, El goes missing after revisiting The Red Rooms. Kami notices that Ember didn't come back and the unknown group, vaguely known as "the cult" drops a cryptic image of El's corpse with their eyes removed, surrounded by people in cloaks outside of Crux's library because according to them, they "knew too much" and did that as a warning.

Jackson and Jackie found Ember's corpse outside of Crux's library next to a box with El's eyes in them, and it seemed to be bound to a type of talisman, which they'll use later. —————

After landing in the Red Rooms, they began to explore the four infinitely looping rooms.

Each room them contained blurbs from or about the "entities" in question, and in each personal "island," there were audio discs that depicted how each of the "entities" perished with more song lyrics and clues, now people discovering Crux was not the only victim. Note on Crux's island, his body was still there at one point. Keep this in mind.

Quick note: Some of the islands are corrupted and broken in these photos which actually happened after the second Red Room Pass. Beforehand, they were all intact beforehand. Additionally, the quality of the photos and Esmeralda.mp3 are very bad because they had to be acquired second-hand! Crux's Room, Book, & the Zen Garden

And so, the players went to the coordinates listed and happened upon Crux’s library, which was littered in blood, clues (including lyrics) about what Crux experienced in his last moments, and what went through the mind of the perpetrator.

It also included some crucial world building notes.

It ended with the users falling into a dimension seemingly outside of reality itself where the users reached The Event Horizon where a disembodied voice tells them more cryptic messages.

In the end, they fall deeper into what's known as The Red Rooms.

Taking a guess, people typed “flora” into the password channel and it took them to another hidden channel with a cryptic video:

People discussed with each other on what the numbers could mean in this, and at the time, the server had a localized Minecraft server called CC MC.

They were coordinates, so people who were able to log on joined the server and started the trek to X: 4481 Y:83 Z:66.

Kuiper’s discord members get a notification in the announcements channel:

The dimension is quieter than usual.

Hours later, they get this jarring image of Crux from Puns ( @elitebuster2012 ) with the following blurb:

[From Puns' perspective] He knew something was wrong, felt that feeling he dreaded the most in the world, knowing that one of his precious lights had faded. He rushed to where it had last cast its light, and there he found him.

The beauty of the surroundings belied the horror he felt, daisies and marigolds waving gently in the breeze while his son lay in a pool of spreading crimson. He fell to his knees, golden tears dripping from his face, as he lifted the lifeless body. He felt so light, so empty, the boundless light that had filled him to the brim gone.

The god's tears continued to fall as anguish turned to fury, reality itself starting to tremble. When he found the perpetrator, his wrath would be limitless. But who could kill a starborn*…

People noticed that a “password” channel appeared in the server and that something was up with the image.

People saw that the tail’s markings were written in binary.

It translated to hexadecimal: 66 6C 6F 72 61

Which is finally translated to flora. *note, Starborn was the older name for Starliians, as they are called now!

❌Welcome to the Null Project - Prologue.❌

TW: Blood, gore, multiple character death, (some) jumpscares, disturbing/unsettling content.

The purpose of this blog is to recover a project/event made for @kiingkiismet ’s discord community created by Kuiper (kismet), @elitebuster2012 , and @greynightshade in October 2020 called The Null Project, also called “NULL” by past participants and myself.

NULL was an ARG/unfiction, interactive “who dunnit” Halloween project surrounding the death of my character, Crux. There were clues and mini puzzles littered around the discord server before translating to a more immersive game medium such as Minecraft that multiple people in the server had access to.

The community worked together to figure out the active, ever changing storyline that spanned from October 2020 to (estimated) January 2021 before it was abandoned in Act 2-3 due to life issues.

4 years later, I feel comfortable enough to showcase this for my current community who would otherwise have no context for this alternative universe that concerned a major character in Kismet’s custom species and universe, Starliians, and how influential it was even though the events and snapshot of the characters and their behaviors in that time were apart of an alternative universe.

❌Disclaimers❌

1. Lost media — Due to mental health issues and a hacking of my account in 2021, a lot of the media has been lost to time and have not been recovered, so a lot of the crucial details would have to be filled in second-hand in “in a nutshell” posts for context, including the various in-character role play events as the community created self-inserts that were also apart of the story as some were friends of Crux, in character.

Also due to a lot of things being lost media, I’m gonna be editing and updating things with the help of friends and community members since my memory is shit LMAO. that being said, a lot of posts will include a “last updated” thing to show what was edited, when, and why. There’s also a lot of omitted community members since some of them I do not associate with anymore for personal reasons.

2. This is an AU and not canon — for some characters, their presentations, actions, and experiences are not going to be accurate to their canon if you know them as they are in my normal universe. Despite some feats being carried over into my main stories, a majority of these events ARE NOT CANON or NO LONGER ACCURATE. A lot has changed in 4 years lol.

3. This is no longer an active story — If you’re a person unfamiliar with my world or my stories and you stumbled here by accident, welcome! this isn’t anything to really follow other than to archive an event that is dear to my and my community’s hearts. If you are still interested, however, follow my main blog for my active projects that are still being worked on and involve a lot of these characters, or follow me on my main socials!
