Wish I could relate but never touched one of those damn books in my life, I don't think I ever will. How ya been, Ireland? 

Sewing is not nearly as easy as books make it out to be. To be quite honest, I feel lied to.

[He took no offence to being ignored by what seemed to be now powerful hands, a part of him was a little envious since his hands only provided what they always had.] There sure are and now look at you, you are one of them. A true superhero, much more than just a local hero. Should I stand in awe or some shit? I think that is what people do with superheros...[he teased playfully] You don't like snow! That's a crime officer, the snow can be a hassle but it makes the season. [He joked as he looked over at his co-worker who also played the role of mother nature. It was odd to him for all the people in town to be affected by a shot and for the first time he felt unready since he himself hadn't reacted in any way. His thoughts were pushed aside when the thinner frame wrapped around him so tightly and tenderly. Instantly his body relaxed and his cocky smile turned into more of a dorky smile. He had it so bad for her and he knew she was aware of it. Moments like those made him sure that their 'just this once' mindset wasn't what was actually happening. His large arms wrapped around the woman as he let his face fall into and press into the top of her head breathing her in.] You can't just go disapperin' on me again, alright? Play with the weather, sure, but no need for goin' through this alone. Ya hear me? [he ordered, as his words came out muffled in her hair.]

[Raven smiled and looked away, a sudden interest in her hands and no attention to Theo as she smirked.] There are several characters who can control the weather in comic books, film, and television. I am fortunate to not be bothered by the cold anymore, but the snow is a little too messy for my liking now. [Hearing him admit that he missed her too… felt good. How Raven had ever insisted she felt nothing for this man was beyond her now. But things had happened, things she had to take care of first, and she felt terribly guilty for not stepping up earlier. She had wondered, like everyone else, what would come of these mutations, and she only realised that now Theo hadn’t come up with one. She might have been jealous if she hadn’t begun to adore thunderstorms and sunshine. Lost in her thoughts, Theo brought her back, with effortless charm and care. It was okay for her to not have it all together. God, she really did miss him. Stepping forward, Rave wrapped her arms around his waist, pulling herself into a tight, warm hug.] I missed you too.

You've only had it for a little while, Rave, it's alright that you don't have it down. It's...like out of a fuckin' comic book - we weren't trained for that. [He said in a joking manner trying to get Raven to smile and take less pressure off herself.] I'm warm enough, I'm a New Yorker - this time of the year is meant to be cold. Are you alright? Warm enough?

That makes sense, I missed ya though. Hell I missed you pretty fuckin' bad. It's weird not having you at the station to push boundaries with. Makes the hours longer. [Theo admitted with a cocky grin as he moved his hand through his hair and shurgged not minding his honesty. He was sure she felt the same and he was tired of them acting like the elephant in the room wasn't there. With the end of the world and mutations being their current situation he saw no harm him admitting what he was thinking. After all he was raised to be a blunt man.] That's right everyone is struggling, I mean I won't know since my body hasn't reacted but everyone with em' seems to be struggling. They are giving the doctors shit and all that, so it's okay to not have it all together. You aren't ruining anything, the weather is just more interesting now a'days. 

I should have controlled it by now. Are you sure you’re warm enough?

I asked Beau for some time off. [She had missed him. Missed all her boys, of course. Missed the way the station smelled after a night shift, missed Bear following at her heels, but most of all, she missed him.] I know everyone else is struggling, with their… mutations, but until I can manage one whole day without ruining the— what do you call it, eco-system?— then I should probably concentrate on getting better.

What a magical device indeed! I see ya got some humor, Ireland. Are you always this caring to practical strangers? 

I keep it in a magical little thing called a thermos. They’re very handy.

I decided on you, don’t you get that? I decided on you. I don’t want to go fucking other people and then walk around feeling thrilled and then sad, or empty, or whatever. I like the smell of your hair, and I like the sound of your voice, and I fucking decided on you.

Hey now, no need to be fuckin' sorry - this is all new to you, right? Plus it is winter so this isn't abnormal. If it was a hundred degrees then people might be pissed. 

[As the room warmed up a smile grew on his face as he relaxed more. He wasn't as weirded out as he thought he would be with all the mutations. Raven was doing better than she was letting herself believe but that wasn't out of character for the woman. Theo wondered why he himself wasn't filled with power but deiced he must not be right for it. Pulling himself out of his thoughts he looked back at Raven.] Where 'ya been, Rave? 

I’m sorry, I— Can I do anything?

[Slowly, Raven raised the temperature of the room, and outside the gale of wind slowed to a gentle breeze. Perhaps she hadn’t gotten a handle on this yet, at all.]

Wow you just pop out of nowhere with that, don't ya? I mean, yeah thanks.

Yeah I am pretty fuckin' sure limbs freeze and fall off in this weather, feeling like shit doesn't help it any.

It sounds to me that you have watched too many movies for your own good. Not that I am saying that I don't agree but I have been in scarier towns and cities. I'm just more used to it bein' so loud you have to learn to sleep with the noise than without any sound at all. That's the worst part...hearin' your own damn thoughts when you just want to sleep. 

It’s creepy, admit it. At any second the Twilight Zone music could start playing and then a Bigfoot will pop out of nowhere or a spaceship and— let’s just say that in the movies, silence is always bad because it’s always right before they play the scary suspenseful music.

Really? Wow, can't say I was expecting that really but the boys and Rave will be real excited to hear that you are bringing something by. Not that we expect it, bein' on the force is what all of us love to do. Everyone can be brave enough when they allow their selves to be..cheesy but it's true. Unless something awful happens, luckily for you, you have people to define you so you don't have to worry or stress.

I was planning on it, yes. It’s the least you guys deserve, considering how much you do for the town. It’s really quite touching. I mean, I know I wouldn’t be brave enough to do something like that.
