“most … the lads are extremely hardworking, more than anyone i know. i feel pretty well rounded, but the others are really who make impulse successful, especially early on. they’re all great people, too, a second family. i like jinki the least. seriously, though, i like our early discography the least. we deserved better. 2014 was a bad time.”

“i’d be a doctor if i weren’t an idol. sometimes i do regret not going to med school, because i would like to help people above all, but i think the path i’m on is a good one, too. with it, i can maybe help other idols when i retire and, hopefully, obtain a therapy license. some of this shit is hard to cope with, so i’d like to be able to help where i can.”

“i’d let jinki take it in a heartbeat. he’s the baby of the group, not me. people place too much value on the title sometimes and think that, because i’m the maknae, i have to be cute, i have to do cute shit, and i can’t exactly say no to the fans at times, so it just kinda sucks then, but for the most part it’s not too different. except when the group babies me, but i think it’s the cheeks, not the title.”

“i want to be taller. fuck this 175 cm, i deserve height.”

“daein’s wild because it’s like he wants me to act my age and have a good time, but the second i do, it’s ‘you shouldn’t be acting like this, you’re the youngest.’ i don’t get it, frankly — he treats me like i’m still the kid i was at debut and that’s really hard sometimes because i’ve grown a lot since then — not physically, obviously. i know his heart’s in the right place and i appreciate it sometimes, but mostly, i wish he’d cut it out, you know?”

“not really - i’m capable and work really hard, but i think impulse would have seen the same amount of success with or without me, especially initially. i think i add a lot more now that i’m helping more on the music side!”

“it’s pretty alright. my mom’s too good for the shit she deals with sometimes, but such is life. my grandparents are pretty okay, the cousins are fine. i’m an only child and was frankly spoiled rotten, so i can’t really complain about much with them.”

December 25:  Gayo Daejeon at Gocheok Sky Dome

it was easy to forget to eat. nari didn’t never really felt hungry. it would have been a while of eating small things once or twice a day before her body really made a point. and this was the worst time to make it known, not when they had to perform. if this problem had come after their performance, it wouldn’t have been as bad.

but right now? she needed to find something to eat. along with the fact that his happened before she got to her dressing room. it meant she’d have to talk to someone and with so many people running around, nari was almost unable to find her voice. “excuse me.” the words came out as a whisper as she managed to find someone to ask. “is there a cafe something around? i think i need to eat something.” a slight wince came and she instinctively held her hand to her stomach.

impulse had just finished their performance for the night and had a few moments of pause before they needed to go to the audience, have reactions filmed, for which he was thankful. their stages, under the lights of the dome, left him hot and sweaty, blinking in the face of a girl whose question stopped from continuing with his group.  

"a cafe?” he repeated, the word not fully breaking through the surprise, blinking at the girl stupidly. “a cafe...no, i don’t think so. i might have a protein bar, though,” he mused, glancing around the space, surveying for his stuff. though, with further inspection to her face, he realized she was one of the wish members, and he hesitated for a moment, worry surfacing and his voice lowering. “would that work? i can ask around and find something more filling.” goldstar was rough on them at times, but he had heard of the pressure bc put on their idols, especially their youngest groups.
