I am trying to embrace it. I have spent too long hating it.

Our bodies are constantly in flux. How it is in our 20s may bear little resemblance to 10 or 20 years later. Weight loss. Weight gain. Getting in shape. Getting pregnant. Getting older. All affect the bodies we inhabit.

You'd never know it today, but as a girl, I was the skinny, underweight late bloomer. But that changed. And through the rest of my life since, my body has continued to evolve.

This was from a few years ago. I have curves. I have fat. I have a tummy. Today, almost a year after giving birth to my first child, this is the state I am trying to get back to.

But I am what I am. My body is what it is.

I am generally healthy. Being pregnant, giving birth and feeding my daughter with it have shown me it can perform miracles. And despite years of being overly self-conscious, now am generally happy with the body I have.

Do your best to love the body you have, here and now.
