The applicable authorities may note, that the TWENTY-FOUR year old MALE (HE/HIM) is SMART, BRAVE, AND CREATIVE, but has also been known to be COLD, TRICKSTER, AND MANIPULATIVE. Similarities in appearance can be seen with NIJIRO MURAKAMI. According to previous reports, they’re often associated with ENDLESS GOLD ITEMS FILLED IN A SINGLE ROOM AND THE DARKEST PART OF THE NIGHT BEFORE THE SUN COMES UP.

Childhood/Early Years
Eldest child who helped his mother raise his younger siblings while their father was away at the Capitol doing business with his brother. Helped with everything from diaper changes and spoon feeding baby food. Due to this, he can't help but currently feel resentment towards his parents and siblings.
Was born just over a year after the Dark Days had ended so he doesn't remember anything about it besides the stories his parents had told.
Deciding he wanted more in life than just being the family nanny, Veneer started after school classes at the Career Academy. Soon after realizing he was actually good at this stuff he joined the Academy full time. Often he'd be there from sunrise to nightfall.
Having good scores and a great track record at the Academy caused Veneer to gain an even bigger ego that he already had. With basically being told he was the best, Veneer never feared the Hunger Games or the threat of being reaped, even though that isn't much worry in District One.
At the age of nineteen, the Trainers informed Veneer he was ready and that the 21st Hunger Game would be the year for him to Volunteer. Veneer was over the moon and ready to show the world what he was made of.
Time at the Facility was easy for Veneer. But mostly because he just stuck to himself. He avoided the other tributes even though most tried to make an alliance with him. Most of his days were spent in his bedroom behind a locked door. It was better this way.
When it was time to present his talent to all of Panem Veneer did nothing. He was there to prove himself in the arena. Preforming like a monkey at the circus was the last thing he was going to do. Though some people thought this choice may have hurt him, other's were rooting for the mysterious boy from One.
21st Hunger Games
Veneer's arena took place in the old Capitol Jail. The place had been abandoned for years but it still had working watch towers with spotlights and keys for the jail cells.
The first day in the arena went swimmingly for Veneer. He had killed the girl from Eight and boy from Nine. He gained a sword from the center and even a set of keys for the cells.
On the second day, there were thirteen tributes left. Veneer killed the boys from Twelve and Seven and girl from Ten.
Having too much fun, Veneer walked around the arena freely with zero caution. Everyone here was weaker than him anyway, what was there to worry about?
On the morning of Day Three, Veneer was jumped by the remaining Career Tributes. Deciding it'd be more fun to mess with him than to just kill him, they stole his sword and keys to the jail cell from his body and locked him in.
They left him in there for the rest of day Three and all through the night without any food or water.
Veneer spent most his time pacing the cage back and forth left with his own thoughts. He was embarrassed, exhausted and had no idea how he'd get out of this predicament. He didn't want to die.
At the end of Night Four, the male tribute from District Two ran into the jail in a panic. He had lost his entire alliance due to some "arena monsters".
Promising a truce, Veneer convinced the tribute to let him out and that he'd help with these so called monsters and help with the remaining tributes. Hesitant, the tribute let Veneer out.
At this point, Veneer was weak but knew he could gain control of this situation. Immediately, the boy tackled the tribute and fought with him to get his sword back. In the tussle, Veneer lost three of his fingers as he grabbed the blade of the sword.
Once he got the handle in his good hand, he killed off the boy from Two and finally made his way out of the cells.
Carefully and quiet, Veneer snuck around the arena looking for the remaining tributes. To his surprise, only one was left standing. It didn't take long for Veneer to kill them and was crowned Victor of the Twenty-First Hunger Games.
After his Victory
Immediately after making it home, Veneer moved out of his family home and into the victory house the Capitol provided for him.
After winning, Veneer is struggling with every day life more than he had expected. Four years later, the nightmares still haven't left. Small, closed-in rooms cause him to panic. Though, he tries to hide this and would never let anyone know.
Veneer works at the Facility as a mentor for One though most of the time, his tributes dislike him and think he's unhelpful. Which is probably true. He spends most of the time quiet and when he does speak, he's a jerk.
While home from the Capitol he works at the Academy as a trainer.

✗ CONFIDENTIAL TRIBUTE FACILITY SIGN UP SHEET records the attendance of CHENILLE DAMASK, a STYLIST/VICTOR from DISTRICT ONE. The applicable authorities may note, that the 26 year old FEMALE (SHE/HER/HERS) is ENERGETIC, AMBITIOUS, and CREATIVE, but has also been known to be NAIVE, SELF-OBSESSED, and ATTENTION-SEEKING. Similarities in appearance can be seen with PARK SOOYOUNG. According to previous reports, they’re often associated with HAVING YOUR STAIRCASE-DESCENDING CINDERELLA MOMENT and GIVING YOURSELF SHARPIE TATS IN MIDDLE SCHOOL FOR ATTENTION.
BIO
In District One, there were three basic jobs in merchandise production. From least revered to most, there were those that worked in the mines, those that worked in the refinery, and those that worked in the warehouses, the ones that did the often tedious, but far more creative work of putting together the jewelry-pieces before they were shipped out to the Capitol for purchase. Those from the families of warehouse workers often wanted for little, at worst suffering from early onset arthritis from long hours spent bent over the long wooden tables in the open warehouse, tinkering with tiny baubles.
Chenille Damask was born the youngest child of Aventurine Damask (nee Gold) and Jacquard Damask, one of the forefront warehouse workers in District One. He was on the short list of workers assigned to helping create extravagant, one of a kind pieces commissioned by Capitol officials and Stylists in the Games. Jacquard had also publicly stood behind the Capitol during the rebellion, knowing what it could mean to bite the hand that is willing to feed him and his family. Within his own District, he is equally well-respected and covetously reviled. And Chenille longed to cast a shadow twice as long as her father's.
Only, there was one problem. Dear brother Suede. Suede Damask was set to become as prolific as his father. His ability to turn out mass produced product quickly and consistently was nearly unmatched. He excelled in school, his natural jeweling abilities very apparent.
Meanwhile, Chenille's hands were covered in the tell-tale pock marks and scars of a subpar warehouse worker. Her hands had always fidgeted out of her control, squirming and squiggling like her feet often did under her desk, nearly tortured by the long hours spent sitting and not. moving. an. inch. She'd already heard the rumblings from her instructors: She might be more suited for work in the refinery, or even the mines. What a shame, what a pity.
It was then that Chenille knew she would need to make her own way. And, she quickly found her new passion on one of many July's spent watching the Games.
She'd always known her father had worked on pieces for the Games before. Of course, he never received any credit. He was one of many workers churning out an order, and the name brand store that dealt with distribution would slap their name on it. But, she'd rarely stopped to consider who was draping the pieces on the Tributes, elevating them beyond their often shamefully dour appearances (did none of the other districts know how to dress?) into something worthy of admiration. Her father explained Stylists to her, and made sure Chenille understood it was a job for wealthy Capitolite heirs and heiresses with too much time on their hands and money burning in their pockets. District members rarely crossed over into Capitol life. Often, victory in the Games was the only way.
Chenille tuned out her father's assurances she should keep practicing her jeweling, staring wide-eyed at the tribute interviews on the screen, her new pathway to success revealed.
Chenille explained away her sudden interest in joining the after-school academy as something to do to blow off some of her trademark anxious energy. Perhaps it might steady her hands in jewel-making. It never did do that, but Chenille felt much more at home getting to move her entire body in tandem while practicing sparring and basic weaponry, rather than hunched over an emerald bracelet. She was nowhere near top of her class, though she did receive high marks in evasive maneuvering. She was quite quick and difficult to outrun. In only a few years, Chenille was in the best shape of her life. As the 16th Games rolled around, Chenille felt she was ready. She spent the night before the Reaping walking around her home silently in the night, taking it in. She knew she would never return.
The next morning, 17 year old Chenille Damask raised her dainty hand in the Square and volunteered with a smile. She vaguely remembered her mother fainting from shock and her father trying and failing not to openly weep. At the time, she wasn't quite sure what for. But, Suede had only stared at her in what must have been disbelief.
He always had understood her better than anyone else.
She was a dazzling tribute, lovely and witty and all full of eager smiles. Her talent, of course, was styling. She eagerly shared her career ambitions with the crowd, who oohed and awed dutifully at the gown she had helped design, draped over her frame. She felt she was a shoo-in for winning the hearts of the sponsors. She wouldn't even need to hurt anyone. Her ploy was foolproof: Evade and perform. Let the gifts come rolling in and just outrun the rest. It was so simple, why hadn't anyone thought of it before?
The reason why only occurred to her once she found herself waiting for launch at the arena. An endless canopy of trees stretched before her, and when she looked down, she realized in horror she couldn't see the "forest" floor. All there was was this Endless Canopy.
The sound a young boy made as he quickly plummeted to his death still stars in many of her nightmares to this day. But, what is there to be done.
It was as though Chenille had spent the past few years sleepwalking and only now had she been awakened with a great shuddering gasp. In a blind panic, Chenille leapt from tree branch to tree branch as far as she could get from the Cornucopia, which was carved into the massive tree at the center of the arena. All she felt was adrenaline and instinct and all thoughts of being lovely or witty or smiling left her mind, all replaced only by run and hide, run and hide.
And, hide she did. She found a small hollow in a tree she knew she could just fit in and wedged herself inside. And there she stayed for nearly an entire day, willing herself to be very small and very quiet.
She exited only to look for food, finding a few fruits in the trees she knew were safe to eat. One day, turned to two. Two turned to three. She barely registered the cannon noises at the end of each day. But, she did feel and hear the occasional gusts of wind, surely meant to sweep certain tributes off their feet and to their deaths.
On the fourth day, Chenille heard the sound of an oncoming train. That was the only way she could describe it, as she felt the tree that had become her home sway dangerously, nearly bending fully sideways. It felt like an hour, but in reality was no longer than a minute long. Afterwards, a few moments of silence. And, not just the usual silence. Pure, eerie silence. Then, a voice from the heavens.
Chenille Damask was the Victor of the 16th Annual Hunger Games.
What should have been a celebration, an opportunity for networking, her opportunity to rise above her circumstances, turned into a media circus for separate reasons. Apparently, a gamemaking intern had asked for a turn operating the wind machines, and when meaning to set the strength to nine, had accidentally tapped the nine key twice. The other remaining tributes had unceremoniously been flung from the branches instantly, leading to the least interesting tribute winning ("she just huddled in some tree the whole time...?") and one of the most anticlimactic Games in a long time.
Chenille was nobody's darling. Most were more interested in talking about the fired intern and their disgrace than her. She was handed the keys to her mansion, and when she inquired into becoming a Stylist, she was met with a shrug and a "whatever you want." She'd proven herself capable enough, and no one ever wanted to style Twelve. She could have the position if she wanted.
Chenille cried alone in her mansion for almost an entire year. What a terrible mistake all of this had been. What had she been thinking? All of this, everything she'd done to be shrugged at and immediately brushed under the table. Her Games still ranks amongst the worst ever broadcasted to this day. And her first year clearly reflected her depression.
What was there to do with a miner? What inspiration could she glean from that? She styled them haphazardly and in an uninspired way. She didn't speak a single word to her tributes, and avoided the other Stylists like the plague out of shame. But, that Games, she saw the way the Capitol could respond to a true underdog.
Maybe that had been part of her problem. She saw now how the Capitol often saw District One. They were the antagonists, the schoolyard bullies, too buff to be picking on the poor little lower Districts. It had been inevitable that they would turn their backs on her at the first opportunity. What was interesting about an academy student winning the Games?
But, if someone could put the pressure on a piece of coal and discover a diamond in the rough? That person could make themselves immortal.
Chenille has yet to find her lasting diamond these past six years, but she hasn't lost hope. She's had a few close hits, and has seen a few of her past tribute designs mass produced for the public. She's established a name for herself for the care and work she puts into the oft-forgotten District Twelve (as well as how pushy she can be with them, trying to coach them into the Next Big Victor that she can attach her name to.) During the off-season, Chenille works as a designer for a major Capitol clothing brand, and has had a few successes with her designs. Otherwise, she's pretty much fully integrated into the Capitol lifestyle, often seen partying or networking at major Capitol events, hoping to find someone to sponsor her own brand someday. Her opinion on the Games has only changed slightly through her experiences: She still sees it as a tool and opportunity for District members to advance themselves beyond their means (something she tries to impart on her tributes, with VERY mixed results.) She just now sees it as a dangerous one.
She doesn't talk to her family much anymore. She still isn't sure if she's a success story or a failure in the eyes of history, and she'd only want to see them as a True Victor.
All in all, Chenille has regained most of her pre-Games confidence and swagger, but has gained a chip on her shoulder to go with it. She's clawed her way up this far. She isn't about to stop now.

Task #4: Tribute Interview
This task is open for: tributes. It is worth between 0 to 900 pts.
In a self-para, write about your tribute's interview with Lucretius "Lucky" Flickerman. After it is posted and linked in the task channel in Discord, the admins will assign the total sponsorship points that your tribute receives based off how they perform in character.
Bear in mind the below:
Each tribute gets no more than 7 minutes on stage.
Lucky often starts with introductory questions, but is happy to follow the interviewee's lead--within reason. If you are uncertain about anything your tribute might like to say or do on stage, feel free to check with an admin.
Sponsorship points given in the interview reflects how the sponsors view your tribute's performance IC, not how well written the self-para is, so remember to have fun and stay in character!

City Circle, Capitol - July 7th, Year 25
The first ever Quarter Quell has finally reached the end of its pre-arena period. More than just the end, tonight may very well be the most important night of the tributes' stay in the Capitol.
A grand stage has been erected in the City Circle, adorned with bright lights and fanciful frills, all designed to highlight the show soon to be presented. Citizens are welcome to come and watch on location, though special areas surrounding the stage have been secured and reserved for VIPs and Games officials.
Tonight, with the help of Lucretius "Lucky" Flickerman, the country will get to know this year's very special batch just that little bit better.
Before the show begins, the tributes are once again herded to the Remake Centre to be dressed and prepped. Once ready, they make their way backstage, where each wait for their name to be called, starting with District 1 and ending with District 12.
Every tribute gets no more than 7 minutes on stage. Lucky often starts with introductory questions, but he is happy to follow the interviewee's lead (within reason) and to let them shine. After all, the sponsors tend to make their most important decisions based off what they see tonight.
In the end, it is up to the tributes how they would like to play the game — so long as they play by the Capitol's rules.

Tribute Facility, Capitol - July 6th, Year 25
Just as the tributes are beginning to find their footing in a foreign place, a new burst of energy storms in to shake up the building. Of course, to the rest of the country, everything is only proceeding on schedule. After all, it is time for the Tribute Showcase.
This storm comes in the form of an extensive filming crew. Some set up stationary cameras and microphones in strategic corners. Others keep theirs with them as they meander about the facility, following anything that catches their eyes. Nowhere in the building is truly private anymore save for the bedrooms and bathrooms. Meanwhile, co-directors sit in an office by the lobby, over 20 screens surrounding them, as they flip from feed to feed and broadcasted them live to every screen in Panem.
Naturally, the tributes are the stars of the show. The audience hungers to know them more, to be close to them if only through a screen. That said, this filming crew is comprised of seasoned professionals, and as such, they know very well that the tributes are not necessarily the only source of intrigue and entertainment.
Anyone who happens to be in the facility today may just end up with a celebrity status, regardless if they want one or not. They can try to hide or they can try to take advantage of the opportunity. That choice rests in every individual's hands. Nonetheless, it is important to keep in mind that the wealthy—the ones with the power to influence a tribute's trajectory in the arena—are definitely watching.
The day does not end until the early hours of the 7th. Only then does the crew clear out, taking their equipment with them, leaving the tributes to prepare for their next moment in the spotlight.
Tumblr media
Tribute Showcase interactions are now open. Feel free to keep previous threads going.

✗ CONFIDENTIAL CAPITOL FACILITY SIGN UP SHEET records the attendance of JULIANA WYNTERS, a MUTTATION ASSISTANT SCIENTIST  from THE CAPITOL. The applicable authorities may note, that the 29 year old FEMALE (SHE/HER/HERS) is OUTGOING, INVENTIVE, AND CARING but has also been known to be STUBBORN, INDEPENDENT, AND SINGLE-MINDED. Similarities in appearance can be seen with SKYLER SAMUELS. According to previous reports, they’re often associated with fields of wildflowers, sunny smiles, and mild civil disobedience.
BIO
Describe their childhood and their experiences growing up.
Juliana (Ana or Jules, to her friends) grew up wealthy in money and thoroughly middle class in parental affection. Her parents had high expectations for her from the beginning and did their best to raise her to their exacting standards. Jules did her best to have some fun every now and then, to go out and get herself into a little trouble. She even got caught trying to sneak off to the Districts once or twice. It was by far the most trouble she’d ever been in her whole life.
After that her parents monitored their daughter much more closely. Her father made sure she kept her grades up so she could follow his footsteps (not that they ever asked if she wanted to) and her mother made sure that she hung around the right sort of people. When her mother introduced her to Miller Brick and heavily implied what a good up-and-coming family the Bricks were, Ana took the hint.
If your character was already alive during the Dark Days, how did they experience that time? Did they participate in the fighting? Which side did they fight on?
Ana doesn’t remember much of the Dark Days, she was too young. She remembered the air raid sirens, and the route from her home to the shelter, but the details of all of it remain fuzzy. Now she can’t even remember if she was ever really in any actual danger. Mostly she just remembered feeling scared.
What is their view on the Hunger Games and how do they deal with the threat of being reaped?
Juliana knew that the Districts had to be punished for the Dark Days, and knew the Hunger Games proved an efficient punishment. That didn’t make watching kids die any more palatable, but she had to admit that they serve their purpose well. She did wish that the children didn’t have to suffer so much. If she had any choice when it came to picking her job within the Games, she would have rather been a Sponsor. At least then she could help them.
What do they do to make a living? Is it difficult? Easy? Do they have to scramble to make ends meet, or do they manage comfortably?
Jules worked as her father’s assistant within the Muttations labs. He had been one of the first ones to create them, something he boasted about whenever possible. Jules can admit that the science behind it all was fascinating, and that genetic mixing was an art that needed careful practice and intense study. The work was hard but she could do it well.
It just wasn’t what she wanted to do. If anyone had asked her, if she’d been given a choice, she would’ve become a teacher. Even if she’d had to stay in the Capitol to teach at least she’d be in a classroom. Juliana liked children and she loved the way they lit up when they grasped a concept. She wanted to help people. Muttations only seemed to help her father. But at least it was a job, she supposed.

✗ CONFIDENTIAL CAPITOL FACILITY SIGN UP SHEET records the attendance of BERYL CRABBE, the SPONSOR from THE CAPITOL. The applicable authorities may note, that the 26 year old MALE (HE/HIM/HIS) is ANALYTICAL, COMPASSIONATE AND CARING, but has also been known to be PETTY, CHILDISH, AND MEEK. Similarities in appearance can be seen with SONG JOON KI. According to previous reports, they’re often associated with the smell of books and dust as light filters through an old library, strings of small beaded bracelets.
BIO
Additional Information about your character:
In this section, please answer the questions below as they apply to your character. This can be done in bullet points, or in paragraph form.
Important:
Describe their childhood and their experiences growing up.
Superfluous. That’s the word that Beryl would use for himself, the word he heard muttered at family parties. What’s the point of another son when the Crabbe’s had so many already? What was the point of all these children when none of them had died in the war like expected? He hadn’t even had the courtesy to develop acceptable hobbies. Instead of Gamemaking or politics, Beryl liked books and history and learning. Nothing helpful, nothing they could leverage. His parents made no secret of their disappointment and Beryl learned early on he did best to keep to himself.
If your character was already alive during the Dark Days, how did they experience that time? Did they participate in the fighting? Which side did they fight on?
The Crabbe’s fought for the Capitol, and though Beryl was only two when the Dark Days ended he made a point to read any and every account he could get his hands on. None of them, of course, had anything from the rebels or the Districts. It does both Beryl that the history available to them has an obvious skew, but he know better than to ask about it.
What is their view on the Hunger Games and how do they deal with the threat of being reaped?
As a Capitol citizen, Beryl has never feared the Hunger Games. As a hobby historian he views them as an interesting way to keep the Districts in line, and he’s not certain it’s the best method (though he certainly doesn’t have any better ideas). As a Sponsor he’s learning to identify what makes a Victor and what doesn’t, and who is worth spending the money to keep alive. Though he will admit he isn’t above picking the obvious rival of whomever Nickelos has backed, just to make his brother’s life more complicated.
What do they do to make a living? Is it difficult? Easy? Do they have to scramble to make ends meet, or do they manage comfortably?
Beryl doesn’t necessarily have to work, really. His family is certainly wealthy enough that he could live with his parents and be one of the Capitol’s most eligible bachelors. But if he wants to live on his own, he needs a job. And Beryl only spends time with his parents when forced. So he’s a Sponsor. It’s not what he wanted to do with his life, he’d rather study languages and history, but it’s what his family deems acceptable. If he has a bit of a secret library at his house full of definitely non-Capitol approved materials about the Dark Days and the times before them, well that’s no one’s business but his own.
