Our New Blog
So our old blog has been glitching out a lot recently. And now we're finally making a new one (since it's been months with no response from staff).
We are the Olivia Set!
About the Set
We are an adaptive plural system of about 8 members (it depends on how one draws the lines between us, and which of us really count as members). We're autistic, dealing with CPTSD, and none of us are binary.
We are very pro plural and inclusive (to spell it out, that means we are inclusive of all plural system origins). Some of our frontrunners have plurality as a special interest, so expect syscourse here.
Do Not Interact (DNI)
If you would need to violate your own DNI to interact with us. Seriously, don't abuse your DNI to shield yourself and then go out and interact with others that you specifically request to avoid. It a) has a negative impact on the use of a DNI similar to how "triggered" got watered the hell down; and b) it's really unhealthy to go out of your way to interact with those that cause you distress.
We will probably yell at you and block you if you violate your own DNI to talk to us.
Boundaries
In addition to anyone and anything that just happens to be bad for our current mental health, we will block for the following things (also probably chew you out):
Misgendering (mistakes happen we know)
Insulting people's intelligence or general mental capabilities (which is ableist as fuck)
Calling us parts or alters (the term we use is headmates)
Assigning any of us alter roles (our only job is the one we get a paycheck from)
Fakeclaiming
Otherwise, we block on a case by case basis. Seriously it's so easy to hit that block button.
Check our carrd if you want to know our members, what our name means, or some basic ettiquette for us.

"Freezing a human being to death, then lying about" is exactly what a cop would do.
Firing the correctional officer is exactly how institutional policing protects bad apples.
You can't reform this. #ACAB

We're finally switching blogs since this one has been glitching out for a while (can't reply to posts, can't view our messages, and seems like it's hit or miss if other people can see our notes or asks).
If you find a new follower that looks like us and are worried that our identity has been stolen or something, this is what's up. :)

Everybody talks about cutting ppl off but nobody really talks about the grief that comes with having to stand firm on that decision knowing it’s not what you wanted but what was necessary for your well-being.

this is a petty semantics issue but. if you call yourself anti endo and then get pissy when people assume you think endos are faking/shouldn't exist thats entirely on you lol? i see a lot of people complaining about this and insisting they're just against misinformation/against the things they dont like about endogenic communities/etc but "anti endo" explicitly implies you are against endogenic systems themselves in some way shape or form
i have problems with and am rightfully wary of traumagenic communities/spaces, but it would be totally unhinged to call myself "anti-traumagenic" unless i considered myself somehow morally opposed to traumagenic systems or did not believe in traumagenic plurality.
"most anti endos don't even care whether other forms of plurality exist/if endos call themselves plural/etc!!" then call yourself something else! good lird!

tbh I think the most off-the-rails take re: "transandrophobia" discourse is the argument that trans men receive male privilege because we are perceived as men.
like. okay. ignoring the fact that many of us very much are not seen as men, all of us are not seen as men for at least part (if not most) of our lives, and even those of us who are seen as men are only perceived that way until we are outed as trans,
yall realize this argument implies that trans women receive male privilege too, right?
like if the entire premise of your argument is "people perceived as men receive male privilege (and are therefore Not Oppressed)", you are making the same exact argument that TERFs make to justify the exclusion of trans women from women's spaces. you might be focusing on trans men here, sure, but there is nothing whatsoever in your argument to suggest that it doesn't also apply to trans women.
I sometimes see the follow-up that because the goal of all trans men, and ultimate lived reality of all trans men, is to look like and be perceived as men by society at large (a massive fucking assumption, btw). which just implies that either
only the presumed "goal" of your transness Actually Counts, or
if you are ever perceived as a man, you are Not Really Oppressed.
like either you need to fully reject the majority of most trans peope's lives in order to make your argument, or you also imply that trans women are Forever Tainted By Maleness as well.
or y'know, alternatively, we could just accept that most trans people are going to be perceived as men at some point, that many cis women are also perceived as men at some point, and that this extremely conditional and generally unintentional-on-the-part-of-the-system "privilege" is not actually all that relevant in structural analyses of oppression.

anyway just a reminder for the myth lovers out there
king arthur was welsh. merlin was welsh. camelot was in wales. the lady and the lake she pops out of; welsh. excalibur; magic inanimate welsh object. etc.
on the way to see family, i drive past a lake that in which is welsh legend, is the last resting place of excalibur.
i’m just saying in my experience a lot of these legends had been so anglo-fied in the past and it’s like, all this cool shit is celtic welsh legend.

Why Are So Many Neurotypicals Cisgendered? We investigate a worrying trend in people with neurotypicalism, who often go their whole lives without ever thinking about any aspect of their gender in any meaningful way. Is this another sign people with neurotypicalism aren’t capable of the kinds of analytical thinking we take for granted?

Today the Washington Post tracked down my little brother’s personal cell phone number because my mom is the president of an organization that supports families of transgender kids.
Yesterday (Feb 9 2023) my home state, Missouri, announced a government investigation into organizations providing care and support for transgender kids.
This is after an administrator at Washington University’s Pediatric Transgender Center came out in a now-viral article about how the Transgender Center was “rushing” trans kids into care and “mutilating” us. She gave away the personal information of many of my trans loved ones who, like me, received care from the center, and she described our bodies as horrifying. Everything she said was a lie.
No goddamn trans person is “rushed” into medical care, especially not trans minors in states controlled by far-right politicians. No one gets medical care for funsies in the only industrialized country without free healthcare.
I received care through this transgender center as a minor and it took over a year and countless doctor’s notes and visits to begin any sort of medical treatment. You can hear this same story from any trans person, especially — AGAIN — minors in Republican-controlled states. I had to see fertility doctors at 16 years old who tried to convince me not to go on T.
My mom, because she’s amazing, joined a support group when I came out. She is now the president. She had to alert the police yesterday after journalists kept coming TO HER HOUSE.
I finally got a call from a Washington Post journalist today to interview me, an actual trans person who received care from the Pediatric Transgender Center. She spoke with me for only 20 minutes and didn’t know the most basic facts about being trans. No doubt my words will be published in a ridiculous thought piece that only adds to the oppression of trans minors.
My medical transition has brought me nothing but joy. I was simply lucky to begin it at 17.
I am so scared. Trans people will be eliminated in the US as this progresses. This is not just a “red state” issue, either. Please extend compassion to your trans siblings and keep up with the trans eliminationist legislation and actions throughout the US.
Transphobes do not touch this post.

it's okay if you don't know what type of system you are. it's okay if you don't know if you have roles. it's confusing enough to exist as numerous people living in one body, you can take things slowly and if you never get to figuring that out, oh well... figuring out how to survive as a system is far more important.
