did yall know that in my universe (along with MY rules) Looey is actually among the popular toons due to how the kids love animalistic balloons and Looey's show too, while Poppy is just Poppy (shes still one of the common) so ofc not many kids are aware or take a liking to her aside from the girls who like to dress up and makeup, SO

when Poppy realized she might have feelings for Looey, she took a step back because she thought she wasn't worth his time since hes so popular, Poppy was obviously happy for him, she just thought Looey wont be into a common toon like her so she wont confess

Looey on the other hand, have feelings for Poppy, he knows that but he thought Poppy is into Boxten since they spend time so much together, didnt want to make the relationship become awkward so he also take a step back
