Liubart's castle in Lutsk
One of the oldest preserved castles in Ukraine and the most recognizable symbol of Volyn. It was built mostly in the 1340s, although some parts of the previous stronghold dating as early as 10th century were incorporated into construction.
The image of the castle has long been used as a symbol of Lutsk. The image of the walls is present on numerous seals, coats of arms, money, badges, and postcards.

Cossack with a girl by Ukrainian contemporary artist and illustrator, Kateryna Shtanko (Катерина Штанко)*.
An illustration to the poem by Taras Shevchenko (Тарас Шевченко):
А Ярина дає зброю, На порозї стоя; Степан її надіває Та плачуть обоє. And Yaryna gives him weapon, standing on the threshold; Stepan puts it on, and they both cry.
*This illustration has been published in a book: Т. Шевченко, У нашім раї на землі..., Київ 2018. Halyna Rohach (Галина Рогач) was the editor of this volume. I do apologize everyone for my terrible mistake!
It is a fan&didactic account, existing only for the Cossack Heroes glory and promoting Ukrainian heritage worldwide. Copyright belongs to the Artist/Museum.

Józef Brandt (1841-1915), famous Polish artist, fascinated with the Ukrainian Cossacks and creating pictures of them throughout all his life:
Farewell (Pożegnanie), 1867, oil on canvas, 39 cm X 61.5 cm
From the collection of the Borys Voznytsky Lviv National Art Gallery
