The place of shelter for all Bohun-like Souls (🇵🇱 🇺🇦), created to express my love for H. Sienkiewicz’s “Trylogia” and J. Hoffman’s films based on it (🇵🇱), and in particular – for Jurko Bohun, one from its main characters, based on Ivan Bohun (🇺🇦), real Ukrainian Cossack hero from the mid-17th century. Sadly to say: NOT FOR THE ACTOR PLAYING HIM ANYMORE. This site contains pieces of my original artwork (drawings and pastels). As a person fascinated with the film “With Fire and Sword” (1999) from its beginning, I have decided to share here with other Fans some material from my old, personal collection: press cuttings/photographs from the Polish Press and fragments of VHS recordings from the TVP (1997–1999). It is a fan account. I do not benefit from it. I do not claim copyrights to photos and screenshots that appear on theophan-o.tumblr.com. Copyright belongs to the Photographers and the TVP. In the event that there is still a problem or error with copyrighted material, the break of the copyright is unintentional and noncommercial and the material will be removed immediately upon presented proof.

Cossack Mamay is found in legends, folk tales and proverbs. They became widely popular after the dissolution of the Zaporizhian Sich in 1775. Cossack Mamai is one of the most common characters in Ukrainian folk painting from the end of the XVII century to the present time.
