Say it again for the ones in the back: all the Pines (and everyone else, except possibly Soos) in the show is flawed! That's part of what makes them such memorable characters.

What actually defines Ford hate for you? Like, is saying Bill exploited Ford's insecurities and ambition considered Ford hate and victim blaming? Is saying Ford being an arrogant asshole a critique of his character or hate? I'm quite sure blaming Ford for throwing Stan out might be Ford hate tho. Or saying Ford mistreated McGucket

lmao. i literally just made a post about him kinda treating dipper like shit + how his apprenticeship offer would've made everyone he cared about miserable, and how abw!him ended up exploding an entire dimension which is literally worse than weirdmageddon

i think if you just glance on any social media site you can easily find disingenuous takes on ford (and unfortunately still mabel)

but anyway it's:

acting like ford deserved to be abused and tortured by bill, or denying that he's been abused at all, and that he's the world's biggest idiot for getting tricked by a con man who's been doing this to countless victims for millennia (frankly i think we need to bully bill more for failing so often at his one goal, truly the show's biggest loser in many aspects)

disregarding his character development, misinterpreting his character to the point of rewriting him, and acting like he doesn't feel guilt and shame for what he did (and also ignoring when other characters are also assholes, and really them all being morally grey kicks ass)

it's acting like he's the sole cause of weirdmageddon while ignoring that stan made the choice to open the portal when he knows full well that it could hurt the kids who are literally living on top of it, all for the chance to save his brother who he admitted might've died years ago, and ignoring that it's bill's fault that weirdmageddon happened and that he'd just move on to the next sucker to create a portal if the stan twins didn't kill him

honestly the whole "oh i can't believe this twin did this ***ignores the other twin doing the exact same thing***" is the exact shit that happens with mabel and dipper (kinda wild that people didn't even get how shitty dipper was acting in time traveler's pig and boyz crazy to the point that alex had to point out how bonkers it is that it's glossed over by fans-- and i ain't hating on the kid either!! i appreciate all the characters' flaws which is why i constantly bring up the whole "yeah stan fully knew opening the portal could've killed everyone he loved" + his general apathy to literally everyone outside his family and frankly if ya think i hate stan then.... hm.)

idk some people apparently said that the guy is the "real villain of the show"

also the show itself kinda forgot about the whole "oooooh ford is planning to kick stan out" plotpoint (as it does with many interesting plots in general unfortunately), but i interpreted it as stan still thinking he's going to be kicked out even if ford assumed that was dropped when stan let dipper hang out with him (which is still shitty btw you have to talk to him!!!!)

and again the main schtick with entire stan bros conflict is that you can see both of their point of views + reasons for being mad/upset and that the entire situation just feels tragic

they will now actually take notes of things that really happened in your fic, they make it sound personalised and genuine, but there's a way they talk that feels weirdly artificial, there's always a vague mention of some 'ideas' they have, if it raises your hackles trust those instincts and tread carefully, because ultimately-

they will ALWAYS LEAD YOU TO A SECONDARY LOCATION

suddenly changing up their writing style is a big red flag, wanting to take you off platform to some other site showcasing their 'art' is an even bigger red flag, REAL ARTISTS DO NOT DO THIS

no matter how genuine they sound, trust NOBODY advertising their art in your comment section, trust NOBODY who wants to take you off platform, NEVER go to that secondary location

Saying “I don’t know” to upholding the Constitution isn’t just careless—it’s a crack in the very foundation of the presidency. The oath isn’t conditional. It’s a commitment to every right, every protection, every time.

They’re deporting US citizens by the way. Including three children, ages two, four, and seven. They’ve detained white/white passing people (look up Jasmine Mooney if you don’t believe me). They’re talking about making a “disease registry” to track autistic people. If you have a diagnosis of autism on your medical records, that affects you.

If you’re not scared yet, you should be. I think at this point it’s safe to say that nobody currently residing in the US is safe (unless you’re willing to kiss Trump’s ass, I suppose. But even then, he’s still destroying the economy with tariffs, and Musk’s mass layoffs affected all sorts of people, including Trump voters).

What you do with this information is up to you. Spreading the word is preferable to staying silent, but I can’t control what anyone does. However, everyone should at least be aware of what’s going on.

Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders is begging president Trump to reconsider the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) denial of an emergency disaster declaration to aid in the recovery from a series of destructive tornadoes and storms that ravaged the red state in March. Sanders, a former White House press secretary to Trump, wrote a lengthy letter last week to her ex-boss detailing the devastation caused by the storms and begging him to reconsider FEMA’s denial. It’s not surprising that states are struggling to get disaster-recovery aid from Trump. In January, he floated eliminating the agency entirely. And last month, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem promised to “eliminate FEMA.” So far, Trump is still refusing to send any help. Remember when people were warning that Trump just wants your vote — that he doesn't care about you? This is what they were talking about.
