I think the biggest thing mascot horror things need to get a grip on is the reasonable balance of cute/creepy. The mascot in question needs to be cute enough to realistically be for children but scary enough to actually make for effective horror. Most games always lean too far in either direction and idk maybe it's just me but immersion with these kinds of games are important for me to actually find enjoyment in them.

Reminder that de Blob almost got a TV Show on Syfy Kids before Bluetongue & THQ went defunct.
Sadly unlike de Blob Ds and Online there is no footage of the cartoon anywhere. My guess is that the animation probably would've looked like the cutscenes from de Blob 2 but on a tv budget

Reason why Inkies would probably win...
They have several classes and some of them are very difficult. I'm thinking of you Spikey Inky. And the inkies that can only be defeated if you're a certain colour... Don't think Gir or watchdogs would ever figure that out. They're weak to colourful paint... Who is bringing paint to a battle.. Actually now that I say that Gir would totally remove vital weaponry to make room for paint in his left arm or something.. See... difficult...
