This man spreading transplant hit on the girl next to him, touched her arm and purse, didn't scoot over and kept the couple next to him squeezed in, and then ignored all social cues and asked the girl next to him for her phone number. She gave it to him, oh so painfully reluctantly and then we had a chat. If anyone ever asks you for your number and you don't want to give it to them but feel (the oh so sad and tragic societal) pressure not to say no, you can say, "I'll take yours."

I entirely disagree with this response. Yes, someone could wear a tampon if they sleep less than eight hours, but the first response to “see a gynecologist” suggests that there is something wrong with the person asking the question about their flow and that they need to be fixed. Options to try before seeking unnecessary medical attention include: wearing a pad, sleeping on a towel, using a menstrual cup. They need not get medicated. This response contributes to negative beliefs and messages about menstruation and bleeding. Poster, there is nothing wrong with you whatsoever.
My period is always really bad at night and if I don't get up every 4 hours, it will leak all over the sheets. What do I do?
See a gynecologist. They can perhaps provide a birth control that would lighten your flow.
If you sleep less than eight hours, you can wear a tampon at night (just know you are at risk for getting TSS) or wear super/night pads.

I opened up an anthology of avant-garde theater from 1890-1950 and had to conclude that women just didn’t write plays during those years, except for Gertrude Stein. Gertrude Stein was the only woman who wrote a single play from 1890-1950, right?

I have no idea why most people blame all negative stereotypes of men on feminism. I’m a feminist and have occupied feminist circles for over 2 years now, and I have ever only heard of 1 feminist say that all men rape & that men are “naturally wired” to be rapists. (For the record, I called them out on it.) Yet I have come across a plethora of MEN who have said that all men have “natural urges” to rape women.
Not only that, but there’s also the fact that many anti-feminists rely upon an (incorrect, elementary understanding of) the field of evolutionary psychology in order to justify the sexual double standard; well, what would you know? The field of evolutionary psychology also likes to claim that men are the only people who rape, minimize the experiences of men who are raped (see the works of David Buss), & claim that rape is an “evolutionary reproductive strategy that all men might partake in” (see the works of Thornhill).
Not to mention there are various cultures where women are forced to cover themselves from head to toe in order to avoid being raped. Yet people still manage to blame feminism for starting the idea that all men are potential rapists? Really?
& Then whenever I see people advocating for awareness for male rape & sexual harassment victims, I’ll always see someone in the comments blaming feminists for the double standard. What the fuck? I actually don’t recall ever seeing a feminist minimize the suffering of male sexual abuse & rape victims. Personally I, a feminist, have an entire tag for male victims of domestic, sexual, and physical abuse. But I have noticed that if you look into an article regarding statutory rape of a young boy, you’ll find in the comments mostly MEN saying things like “That kid’s a hero!!! It wasn’t rape!! He loved it!!” & I even remember one man saying, “It’s only women who think that teen boys can actually be statutorily raped. We men know how much we would love it if we were ‘raped’.”
Like, seriously? Stop blaming feminism for all the negative attitudes society has towards men. Both these concepts (that all men are potential rapists & that men can’t be raped) stem from the same idea as the idea that is commonly used to justify rape from men unto women: the idea that men can’t control themselves because they have such high libidos (”wearing revealing clothing is ‘asking for it’, it’s like putting on a meatsuit in front of a dog!!!”). This is an idea that I, and most feminists I know, avidly fight against. Yet people still have the audacity that claim that feminism is the source of these ideas.

This one time, I had like, emotions, and that's when I knew I was going to be objectified by men and make less money than men and feel unsafe late at night walking home and have to take full responsibility for the birth control aspect of every sexual encounter and feel like a slut or a prude but never in between and bleed once a month.
