I saw my first Propertius Duskywing (E.propertius) this weekend enjoying nectar from the blooming Yerba Santa in Bonny Doon. It was just as magical as I expected, when these little guys fly they look like small fuzzy shadows. These butterflies are one of the many pollinators who rely on our local native oak species.
