Speculative Fiction Live Stream event and Contest - Thursday the 30th of July Queer Nerds of West Sweden (Queernörda Väst) are hosting a literary live stream, in collaboration with Science fiction bokhandeln during QueerCon. We will explore our favourite genres, discuss recent progress regarding representation and share our top picks and recommendations within our literary sphere.

Additionally, we are holding a creative contest.

Invent your own genre contest

We challenge you to submit your most creative and descriptive new genre titles. Whether they consist of sarcastic social commentary, detailed non-serious shenanigans or expressing what you love about certain kinds of literature. Submission examples could be genre titles like: Space pew pew pew, LGBTQ+ if you squint or Gothic Emo Romance.

Contest submissions will be featured during our live stream, the July 31st at 13:30 on the Sverok TV Twitch Channel.

The winners will announced at the end of the Stream event and will also be contacted via e-mail. They will receive a prize donated by Science Fiction-bokhandeln.

Contest Rules:

• Up to 5 genre titles per person. Contestants are welcome to submit multiple titles, with a limit of up to five genre suggestions.

• Language: Contest entries cannot contain offensive language or discrimination. Anything deemed discriminatory or as seen as disrespectful of individuals' identities, orientations or interests will be disqualified.

• Contestants must be current members of one of the Queernördarna social clubs in order to be eligible to win. Membership is free and joining supports our organisation. Please follow this link to join: https://queerandnerdy.se/bli-medlem/

Online Arts and Crafts Hangout Gather your favourite materials and join us on Discord. You are welcome to use any art form that like.
