the thing is about trans women is that even in ostensibly “pro trans women” spaces, it is socially unacceptable to be attracted to trans women. like for example, on this website, if cis women talk about how they like trans women with stubble, or broad shoulders, or deep voices, or even just that they like girls with dicks, they are treated like chasers. and like, no, actually, a chaser means somebody who specifically objectifies trans women in a degrading way and refuses to integrate their trans girlfriends into their lives like introduce her to their parents etc. and just uses her as a sexual object. you can’t just moralise being physically attracted to trans women as wrong and objectifying and fetishistic. we are attractive, we are sexy; why are you so afraid of people expressing that?

The Very Hungry Rust Monster is a mini-comic I made a few years back. I’ve seen it floating around Tumblr without attribution recently, so I’ve uploaded a higher-resolution version, properly credited.

i geniunely think that its insane how every other week a different afab detransitioner or terfy transmasc can go on fucking television regurgitating terf talking points for the grifter payout and all that is forgotten the next week and is nEVER placed within the context of something that could only happen so frequently because of embedded transmisogyny within the trans community that they benefit from
but like a HANDFUL of loser white tgirls on like 2013 tumblr growing an awareness of the existence of structural transmisogyny and having an extreme reaction to that awareness.. and then disbanding within a few years… and that somehow becomes a boogeyman that is still talked about to this day a decade later to villify all transfemmes people who disagree with you

I think that for every episode of bake off that has a foreign country as a theme there should be a special third judge that is just a grandma of that nationality and they should be equipped with an air horn they can toot in paul hollywood’s smug face whenever he confidently says something completely incorrect about a bake’s construction, flavour, texture, etc etc

discussion of the (vastly over-exaggerated) phenomenon of trans women online having been some flavor of bigot pre-transition is such an odd one to witness because it always ignores that growing up as part of Literally Any Group means that you will be taught bigotry. in current society it is not possible to never experience any bigoted views being presented as normal and encouraged. anyone who tries to claim they have never in their life been encouraged to hold views they regret is either lying, still holds bigoted views, or both.

Terfs overwhelmingly ARE women of color, disabled women, non christian women, and queer women, so……………
Yeah turns out copping for the leopards eating faces ideology actually doesn't protect you. Wild how that works.

before you see something and recoil at the price, be it handmade items, services, art, whatever. when you see something and you think, "i wouldnt pay more than $15 for that," you seriously have to ask yourself: if i were offered that same $15, would i make this object? would i spend the time to teach myself this skill to get this done, for $15? would i do this service for that same $15? would that be worth my time and effort?
yeah, that handmade necklace is $140. you might only be willing to pay $40 for that same necklace, but would you make it for $40 if someone asked you to?
you want to pay the babysitter fifteen bucks for the three hours she's watching your child. but would you honestly do that for $15? would you go into a stranger's house and change their baby's diaper and care for its needs, for $15?
you think its ridiculous that this artist is charging $30 for an icon commission. would you spend years catching up to their skill level to make that same drawing, start using your skill to make some extra cash, and then spend three hours on a drawing just to get $15?
would you be willing to work for $5 an hour?
no?
then don't be angry when someone else won't.
you don't have buy the service, it's okay if some things aren't within your budget or comfort zone, and it's also okay if the product isn't worth that much money to you. but do not be angry. be glad, because you know of another person out there who isn't being exploited for their time.
