how to actually glow up mentally (not just look good) ⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ 🌸
glow ups aren’t just about clear skin and hair masks. the real glow up is mental — and no amount of serums will save you if your mindset’s still stuck.
you want to look different? start thinking different first.
Tumblr media
habit 1: brutal self-honesty
stop pretending you’re doing “okay” when you’re not.
call yourself out when you’re making excuses.
admit when you’re wrong without the dramatics.
real confidence isn’t about pretending you’re perfect — it’s about knowing exactly where you’re weak and working on it in silence.
habit 2: build uncomfortable discipline
set non-negotiables (like: workout even if you don’t feel like it).
do one thing daily that’s boring but builds you (reading, stretching, saving money).
remind yourself: motivation is optional, discipline is not.
discipline is the reason you glow differently — it’s the quiet, daily decision to not give up on yourself.
habit 3: unfollow your old self
stop clinging to your old habits just because they’re “comfortable.”
say goodbye to the identity that kept you stuck.
act like the person you want to become now — not “someday.”
your new life will cost you your old one. good riddance.
habit 4: protect your energy like it’s sacred
stop responding to everything that triggers you.
stop arguing for your limits and start breaking them.
say “no” without paragraphs.
if it drains you, distracts you, or delays you — it’s not worth it.
habit 5: stop ghosting yourself
don’t abandon your goals when they stop being shiny and exciting.
don’t disappear on your routines when no one’s watching.
don’t ghost the life you said you wanted when it gets hard.
you deserve to be shown up for — by you first.
Tumblr media
the real glow up is silent. it’s uncomfortable. it’s unphotogenic. but when it hits, it’s loud.🩰

𝓙ournaling tips 🧁☆
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
don't let social media be your only archive
first off, why should you start a journal?
not only is journaling a fun hobby that will keep you away from your phone for a while, it also helps you with getting to know yourself more, understanding your feelings and working on them. it is a way to keep your thoughts and memories written on paper forever for you to reread once you're older, and maybe you'll laugh at what seemed so important back then. personally, i have kept journals and diaries ever since i knew how to write, and trust me, it's worth it.
Tumblr media
there isn't a specific way in which you should or shouldn't journal: after all, it is your space, and you get to choose how to organize it. but if you're feeling lost and don't know how to start, i can give you some ideas.
first off, pick out a journal and decorate it. you can paint it, cover it with stickers or fun colored paper, mark it with lip stains, or whatever you want. just have fun with it, and make it cute, that way you'll be even more inspired to write in it.
and now.. what do you write?
✩ the basics.
❥︎ " about me" page. who are you? what are your favourite traits in yourself, and what do you want to change? what do you like doing? what are your favourite things? your fav movies, books, shows, songs, etc. what makes you you?
❥︎ bucket lists. places you want to visit, things you want to do this summer, things you want to accomplish in a specific time, a to do list for each month and year, things you want to do with your friends, books to read, movies/ tv shows to watch, experiences you want to have, etc.
❥︎ wishlists. whether it's products, clothes, or non material things.
❥︎ quotes. things that speak to you, that motivate you or that you think resonate with you, who you are and who you want to be. scraps of some of your favourite books, poetry, a movie, or maybe just something you found on pinterest.
❥︎ goals and dreams. write down everything you want to achieve, even your wildest dreams that you think are unrealistic. plan out your dream life, you dream house, the person you want to be, and start to think of it as something that is not so impossible after all.
❥︎ affirmations. little daily reminders to keep you positive and motivated.
❥︎ letters. a letter to your future self, to your younger self, to your future kids, or to people in your life (friends, family, or even people you despise) to whom you can't say these things directly. maybe one day you'll send them.
❥︎ your playlists. your favourite artists, favourite songs of the moment, favourite lyrics, or your receiptify.
❥︎ movie & book ratings. after you watch or read anything, try to write a very detailed and in depth review of why you liked or disliked that specific thing, give it stars, etc.
❥︎ people you care about. a little intro to all your favourite people: friends, family, or even your pet. why you like them, how you met, your favourite traits about them.
❥︎ dreams. as in the dreams you have when you're sleeping. writing them down helps remembering more dreams in the long run, and you can also try to analyze them to find out your fears and ambitions through your subconscious.
❥︎ compliments. things that people said to you that warmed your heart, positive things you think about some people that you haven't said to them yet and compliments you wish to receive more.
❥︎ things that make you happy. every day, or week, try to find some things that made your day a bit better, even if it's small or "meaningless" things, try to practice gratitude and appreciate more the little joys in life.
❥︎ the people you look up to. whether it's someone you know in real life or a celebrity, write down what you admire about them, what aspects of their life or personality you want to include more in yours, and why they inspire you. or if you're jealous of someone, try to understand what is it that they have and you don't, to know what you really want.
❥︎ questions to your future self. it can be a couple months from now, or 10 years. just imagine how fun it will be to answer them once it's time, and look back on what the past version of yourself wanted to achieve and how they imagined you.
❥︎ habits. things that you wanna let go of, and others that you want to implement more into your life.
Tumblr media
other than doing all the fun little pages, another thing that you should try doing is just writing down all your feelings. it doesn't necessary need to be a daily thing, i mean sure, you can do daily reports of things that happened, drama etc., but mostly just write when you need it, even if it's repetitive. especially when you're upset, writing down what made you sad and how you feel in that moment really helps you to feel better. whenever i'm anxious, or sad, i take out my little bedazzled journal and i start writing until my hand hurts about everything that's going wrong in that moment, and once i'm done i usually feel much more relieved. things that are left unsaid or unwritten only create a burden on yourself that becomes really hard to get rid of after a while, so it's important to let it all out when you need it. it helps you to organize all the messy thoughts in your head and remember how you felt in the past, so you can find patterns and connections that lead to the same feelings, to understand better their roots and meaning and start a healing journey.
Tumblr media
other than just writing down everything you're feeling whenever you need it, to do a deeper analysis on yourself, especially those parts that you keep hidden and refuse to acknowledge, you can try doing shadow work. by answering some questions, you can bring out the truths that maybe you've ignored all this time because it felt easier to do so than facing them, and once you do, you can begin to understand yourself to a deeper level
some prompts☆
❥︎ who are you when no one is watching?
❥︎ what parts of yourself are you afraid to show others, and afraid that they will discover them? why?
❥︎ what are your biggest fears?
❥︎ what is the biggest lie you have told yourself? and the biggest lie you've told someone else?
❥︎ what are you ashamed of in yourself?
❥︎ what are you avoiding?
❥︎ how do you deal with your emotions?
❥︎ what do you need to let go of?
❥︎ what makes you feel jealous?
❥︎ what are your best and worst qualities?
❥︎ what are your core values?
❥︎ what makes you feel good?
❥︎ what is your definition of success? and failure?
❥︎ how do you define love?
❥︎ what would you do and who would you be if you weren't afraid or anxious? if there wasn't anything holding you back?
❥︎ what traits do you judge in others? why? do you think some of those traits reflect something within yourself?
❥︎ what patterns and behaviours from your parents/caregivers do you replicate in your own life?
❥︎ how do you respond when you make a mistake or fail at something?
Tumblr media
a reminder: write for yourself, and not as if someone else was going to read. i promise that your journal won't think you're a loser if you talk about you emotions freely. i struggle with that too sometimes, but it's important that you remain honest with yourself, or the whole thing loses its purpose.
Tumblr media
i hope that this helped with starting out your healing journey through journaling, but remember that ultimately it is up to you to decide how to organize it and go through with it!! after all, it is your personal journey

✧ why i believe in dressing up even when no one's watching ✧
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hey lovelies! ✨
there's something almost magical about putting on your favorite outfit when you have absolutely nowhere to go. i know it might sound silly to some people, why bother getting dressed up if nobody's going to see you? but seriously? those are the moments when dressing up matters most to me.
✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧✧
i remember last sunday morning, the rain tapping against my window, my plans completely canceled. instead of staying in my pajamas (which would have been the "logical" choice), i put on my favorite satin slip dress, did my makeup, and even added a little hair bow. my sister thought i was crazy, but there was something so powerful about choosing to look pretty just for myself.
the truth is, when we dress up only for others, we're giving away a little piece of our magic. we're saying that our beauty, our effort, our aesthetic only matters when someone else can validate it. and i don't believe that's true at all.
✧ the secret relationship with yourself ✧
when i put on a beautiful outfit just to read a book or make tea in my home, i'm nurturing the most important relationship in my life, the one with myself. it's like sending a little love letter to my soul that says, "you deserve pretty things even when no one is looking."
i've noticed that on days when i make the effort, my thoughts are different. i sit differently. i move through my space with more intention. my journal entries are more honest. my self-talk is kinder. it's like the outside beauty creates a little pathway for the inside beauty to shine through.
✧ the everyday as a special occasion ✧
we're always waiting for the "perfect moment" to wear that special dress or use the fancy perfume. but what if tuesday morning could be special too? what if making breakfast could be an occasion? what if simply existing in your body was reason enough to celebrate with your favorite clothes?
i keep a little list in my notes app of outfits that make me feel like the main character, and i've made it a personal rule not to "save" them only for special occasions. that silk blouse i love? perfect for a random wednesday. those pretty earrings i usually save for parties? they make doing laundry feel glamorous.
✧ the ripple effect of self-adornment ✧
there's this beautiful ripple effect that happens when you start dressing up for yourself. you begin to curate other parts of your life with the same loving attention. your morning routine becomes more sacred. your space becomes more intentional. you start to ask yourself, "what would make this moment feel special to me?" rather than "what's the bare minimum i need right now?"
i've found myself buying flowers more often, lighting candles on random afternoons, using the "good" dishes for ordinary meals. dressing up for no reason has taught me that everyday life deserves celebration too.
✧ a little secret between you and the universe ✧
there's something so intimate about being all dressed up with nowhere to go. it's like a little secret between you and the universe, a whispered promise that you don't need external validation to honor your own beauty.
sometimes i'll put on my favorite dress and red lipstick just to write in my journal or water my plants. nobody sees it except me (and maybe my cat), but it feels like a tiny rebellion against the idea that beauty needs an audience.
✧ the practice of showing up for yourself ✧
ultimately, dressing up when no one's watching is a practice in showing up for yourself. it's saying, "i am worth the effort, even when that effort goes unseen." it's recognizing that you are always worthy of your own attention and care.
so the next time you find yourself alone with a free afternoon, try putting on something that makes your heart flutter. not for instagram, not for compliments, just for the quiet joy of being exactly who you are, adorned exactly as you please.
you might be surprised how different your day feels when you're dressed for the occasion of simply being yourself.
xoxo, mindy

My Mascara Routine
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
First I go in with my L.A Colors Perfect Curve Mascara. This mascara has a very thick formula and is meant to add thickness and darkness to my lashes. I bought it on a whim and didn't expect much (I think it was $3) but this mascara is a staple for me. I first normally apply it to my lashes, then I sweep the wand horizontally side to side which deposits all the product in your lashes that the wand carries (this is the most important part!! Sweeping it sideways is key!) Next, I brush through my lashes upwards from the root to the tips normally. I then apply 1-2 layers on my lashes again without waiting for the different layers to dry so my lashes don't look too clumpy.
Tumblr media
Then I go in with my Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara. It's not waterproof at all and its kind of runny but I prefer it that way to reduce clumpiness. The trick is to close your eye and applying this mascara to the very tips and really work the product by applying several layers. Like 3-6 layers. This is the key to having the longest lashes and making your lashes look borderline fake. This mascara is jet black and buildable so by the time that I'm done, my lashes touch my eyebrows. I personally prefer only applying mascara to my top lashes but if I apply it to my bottom lashes I only use Ilia.
Tumblr media
I clean up any excess mascara on my eyelids or under my eyes with a q tip or makeup wipe. I have extremely minimal eyelid space so this mascara routine gives me the dolly eyes I love without needing to apply liner. If you’re not into the clumpy mascara look, apply less layers and curl your lashes. I'm not afraid to really apply the products to my lashes by coating each lash with mascara so that is what makes the difference.

✧ how i stay productive during summer break (while still having fun!) ✧
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
hey lovelies! ✨
summer break is finally here and honestly? it's my favorite time to both relax and get things done. i know that sounds contradictory but trust me, finding that sweet balance between productivity and fun is totally possible! after years of either doing absolutely nothing or burning myself out, i've finally found my perfect summer rhythm.
first things first: the morning routine ✨
i've learned that my day flows so much better when i start it intentionally. i wake up around 8 or 9 (not too early because we deserve some extra sleep!), make my bed immediately (small win!), and spend 15 minutes journaling before checking my phone. this tiny habit has literally changed everything for me.
my summer morning essentials:
iced coffee with oat milk and a tiny bit of vanilla
a cute journal that makes me excited to write in it
10 minutes of stretching by my window
a super quick skincare routine (sunscreen is non-negotiable!)
creating a flexible structure 🤍
the secret to summer productivity is having just enough structure without feeling trapped. i divide my days into three parts:
morning: productive focus time (2-3 hours max) afternoon: flexible time for errands, friends, or projects evening: pure relaxation and fun
this way, i never feel like i'm missing out or falling behind. the key is being realistic about what you can actually accomplish in a day. i used to make these impossible to-do lists and then feel awful when i couldn't finish them.
my productivity non-negotiables:
i always make sure to do at least one productive thing each day, even if it's small. some of my favorites:
reading 20 pages of a book
organizing one small area of my room
working on a creative project for 30 minutes
learning something new for my blog
planning content or taking photos
balancing productivity with summer fun ✨
here's my little secret: schedule your fun just like you schedule your work! this sounds silly but it actually helps me look forward to both. some of my favorite summer activities that feel refreshing but don't derail my productivity:
morning walks with an audiobook
afternoon picnics where i can also read or brainstorm
coffee shop work dates with friends
sunset swims after a productive day
weekend day trips that recharge my creativity
my favorite productivity tools:
a paper planner (something about writing things down just works better for me)
the forest app to stay off my phone when focusing
aesthetic notion templates for organizing my projects
time blocking in my calendar with cute colors
lo-fi summer playlists that help me concentrate
remembering the why 🤍
summer isn't just about getting things done or having the perfect instagram moments. it's about growing, reflecting, and creating memories that will make you smile in december when it's freezing outside. productivity should support your joy, not replace it!
i've found that my happiest summer days are when i accomplish something meaningful in the morning and then have the freedom to be spontaneous in the afternoon and evening. balance isn't perfect every day, and that's okay too.
what are your favorite ways to stay productive during summer break? i'd love to hear your tips too!
xoxo, mindy 🤍

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
a soft exit from doom scroll culture 𐙚🧸ྀི
Life wasn’t created to be lived through a screen, it was created to be lived through experiences ₊˚⊹ ᰔ michi
Tumblr media
I constantly feel like I’m missing out on life. I’m never physically doing anything but I am always.. always scrolling. And for what? To be entertained. For those weak ass dopamine hits. To distract myself from my thoughts and my mental state. To have an excuse as to why I’m not doing something.
Neglecting yourself? Doomscrolling? Having trouble sleeping? Eyes always tired? Unhappy? Always feeling drained and tired?
Don’t you guys ever feel like you’re missing out? I mean you must since you’re here.
So I decided to try a digital detox.
Not in some extreme, delete-everything-and-vanish kind of way (I actually tried that many times and failed each one). I just wanted to see what would happen if I gave my brain a break. If I stopped reaching for my phone the second I felt bored, uncomfortable, or lonely. If I actually let myself sit with things instead of escaping into a timeline that never ends.
It was weird at first.
My brain kept telling me to “check something,” whether it's Instagram, TikTok, even Pinterest like ?? girl for what?? I realized I’d trained myself to need noise. Constant noise. And without it? I felt unsettled. Quiet. But underneath all that static, there was something else too. A kind of peace I didn’t know I missed. My mind actually started to feel like mine again.
Because the truth is, I don’t want to live a life I’m watching from the sidelines. I don’t want to be so overstimulated I can’t even hear myself think. I want to choose what I consume. What I feel. What I do with my time.
I want to remember that I don’t have to perform every moment. I don’t have to be productive to be worthy. I don’t have to post everything to prove I exist.
Tumblr media
Sprinkles ˖ ᡣ𐭩 ⊹ ࣪
I thought to myself I should have rules. I should try setting rules and boundaries because, as I said, social media isn't the problem, but rather how we use and interact with it is.
When you do scroll, do it purposefully (because you’re looking for something specific rather than because you’re just bored and you’re trying to entertain yourself quickly)
Delete and uninstall any apps you no longer use & make note of the ones you use too much - a lot of similar posts I’ve read on this topic always talk about keeping tumblr because it’s not that bad blah blah.. But can you really say you don’t scroll mindlessly on here? People use tumblr as an escape from all those other apps, but at the end of the day, it’s still social media.
Set time limits for screen use
Reduce use bit by bit
be careful with what you consume
Don’t be afraid to be bored. You are going to be bored and lonely.

Realize it’s okay to have social media but it shouldn’t be abused
Be in the moment. You don’t need to have a hot girl walk with a podcast playing in your ear. Bitch, be the podcast. Yap to yourself and look fucking crazy because I do. And it’s fun.
Find something to do with your free time, in my post Pretty Girl Content, you will find some hobby suggestions, or even in my Enhance Your Whimsy posts.
Tech-free zones - keeping your phone out of the bathroom, kitchen, bed, dining area
Check-in windows: only check social media during scheduled times
A ‘why I opened this’ list - every time you open an app, ask yourself why and write it down. Write it down. After a few days, review it to see your patterns and learn from them. nd if you wanna share thats ok too!
Dopamine Menu - a list of things that gives you pleasure or satisfaction a healthy way. instead of reaching for your phone when you feel lonely, bored or restless, pick something off the list and then do it.. They start easy with the first course, then require more effort and engagement as the course goes up.

But now that we’ve got that out of the way, I have a question for you
What do you want from these apps? ೀ
𖹭.ᐟ Is it validation?
𖹭.ᐟ To feel seen without having to do much?
𖹭.ᐟ A distraction?
𖹭.ᐟ Community and connection?
𖹭.ᐟ Inspiration?
𖹭.ᐟ Entertainment?
𖹭.ᐟ Self-expression?
𖹭.ᐟ FOMO?
Are you actually getting it? Or are you just stuck in the loop, hoping the next scroll will finally give you what the last hundred didn’t?
People say cons of not having social media is not knowing what’s going on “in the outside world” but.. to me that’s a pro because I get to focus on myself and my mind and loa. So nothing else really matters to me since I’m focused on building the life for me starting with myself. Which I really need right now given my mental state. When i deleted tiktok, I feel good about not downloading it. Whenever I need it, I redownload it. Hair content. That’s about it. Then I delete. I dread even redownloading it because I’m kind of impatient. But I also do the same for tumblr. If I need a little pick me up, a sweet post and I know I have no one around give it to me and I really need to hear it from someone else, I redownload. I use it on my pc mainly now and I don’t find scrolling on my pc interesting enough to do it all the time.

So let’s get to the more philosophical, harsher side.
₊˚ 🦢・₊✧ Modern life encourages consumption, rather than understanding and contemplation - challenge yourself, learn about something that honestly doesn’t seem that big of a deal, like learning random facts about random things. Remember libraries and book shops exist.
Tumblr media
₊˚ 🦢・₊✧ One thing about social media it will give you unsolicited advice and opinions, it will try to make you feel like you have to listen and believe what is being shown to you. It could cause you to stray from your own beliefs if you aren’t strong in them. People’s opinions being thrown at you left and right when you aren’t even comfortable and strong in yourself is… jarring. “You shouldn’t do this bc..” but what if I want to? And why are people mad that I want to? Or don’t want to? Realizing I don’t wanna hear anyone’s opinions before I was grounded in mine was a big reason for my detox and regulation.
Tumblr media
₊˚ 🦢・₊✧ You pick up a lot of stuff you consume online unconsciously. For instance, I watched a lot of American and Canadian tv growing up.. now I react to certain situations in certain ways (just like a lot of the characters I saw on TV) and I literally didn't notice until like a few days ago. That's the result of repeatedly consuming the same kind of content. So guess what- the thing people call ‘brain rot’… is actually rotting your brain. Surprise, surprise.
Tumblr media
₊˚ 🦢・₊✧ Social media constantly exposes you to other people’s timelines, and it quietly convinces you that you’re behind in life. But most people are only sharing fragments- the polished, curated parts. And when we forget that, it’s easy to start holding ourselves to unrealistic standards or feeling like we’re not doing enough. You are not late. You are not less. You are unfolding, slowly and softly, in your own time. And there’s something quietly magical about that.
Tumblr media
₊˚ 🦢・₊✧ And on that note… influencers really do be scamming sometimes. Like, a lot of it is just the same old stuff, just prettier now. They take outdated ideas and wrap them in pink ribbons and call it healing or empowerment. Suddenly, being “feminine” means looking a certain way, acting soft and quiet, never taking up too much space, and spending money just to seem effortlessly perfect. But don't get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with liking pink, or soft things, or wanting to feel pretty. But when femininity becomes a performance—when it’s reduced to a list of aesthetics you have to buy into to be “the ideal woman,” that’s not empowerment. That’s marketing. They just dressed it up and made you feel like you chose it. But it’s still about control. About shrinking yourself into something small, sweet, and palatable. It’s not just influencers because some of them genuinely believe in this and don’t realize what they’re doing. In the end it just leads back to men trying to be in control... Ew. You might not even realize how much of what you like or think you like is just what society has convinced you need to like to be worthy of love or attention. This is not to say you can’t enjoy this stuff because I most definitely still do. But do so mindfully. This is also not to say that life can’t be aesthetic and pretty because it can and anybody that says not is just.. boring I guess. Just be mindful.
Tumblr media
So I’m detoxing. To control the identity I’m building for myself and making sure it’s something I like, something I’m doing for me rather than for the algorithm. This is not to say that social media- or rather, how we use it- is to blame for everything. Because it’s not. People around you can genuinely suck. You have to pull away from that. The point is, if it’s not benefiting you, it’s depriving you.
Log out. Go outside. Touch the real world. You deserve to feel real again. -`♡´-🧁

summer is here, school is over and you have way too much free time on your hands. so unless you want to spend your whole days with your eyes locked on a screen, here's an in- depth guide on what to do this summer, or whenever!!
learn a new language - trust me, speaking more than one language is a skill that everyone should have, and it always comes in handy. you can watch tv shows, movies or youtube videos in your target language, read beginner books, use apps (not duolingo though.. ) and even just listen to music!! just expose yourself to the language as much as you can, even better if you know anyone you can have conversations with. you could also learn sign language!!
journal or scrapbook - writing down your feelings really helps understanding your own self more. you can try doing shadow work to really dive deep, or just write whatever you feel in that moment. it doesn't have to become a chore, and remember, write for yourself and not as if someone else was going to read!! as for scrapbooking, just print out some nice photos and decorate the pages with stickers, drawings, fun colored paper.. whatever you want, just be creative!!
make art - it doesn't have to look perfect, remember that all art is beautiful in its own way. even if you think you're not good at it, just create, it will help you feel better & you'll also get better with time!! you can draw, paint, sculpt, do pottery, etc. you don't have to follow any guidelines, just buy a random sketchbook, bring out your inner child and do whatever you feel like doing
learn how to play an instrument - this can be a bit expensive, but if you have any instrument in your house that you've never used, it might be a great time to start learning it!! you don't necessarily need to take classes, you can easily find tutorials on youtube, even though it might be harder to learn by yourself. but making music is a really fun activity & good for the soul
reading and writing - i will never recommend reading enough !! everyone should read. it helps you learn new things, understand different perspectives, expand your vocabulary, and so much more. i know books can be expensive, but you can always try to buy them at flea markets, or ask a friend/family member to lend you some. and just in case, there are always some sites where you can read books online for free, like zlibrary!! you can read before going to bed instead of staying on your phone (which is sooo bad for your sleep), at the beach while tanning or outside while getting some fresh air. and if reading books inspires you, you can try to write something!! i'm not saying you have to write a 600 page book, but you can try to write small stories, or poetry, and who knows, someday you might actually write a book! if you want to get published, there are some small literary magazines you can find on social media that publish the works of small writers, it can be a great way to start. you can also always post your works here on tumblr, substack, or any social media platform!! you could also try to write the story for a movie and start screenwriting, if you're into cinematography
research interesting topics - now that school isn't forcing you to study things that maybe you don't care about, you can study whatever you want !! remember, knowledge is power, and with the internet, you basically have the world in your hands. you can watch a youtube video, read a book, or simply research on websites (make sure they're reliable though). you can also take online courses!! i might make a post on ideas for what to research??
start a new hobby - your life can't only be made of school/work, sleep, and a screen. you need hobbies that you actually like and that make you feel good. some of these can be: baking and cooking, crocheting, knitting, embroidery, jewelry making, nail art, makeup, photography, editing, blogging/vlogging, coloring, candle making, soap making, perfume making, modeling, origami, sewing, making diy stuff, chess, puzzles, acting, singing, flower arranging, meditating, lego building, trying new hairstyles or outfits, doing animations, discovering new music, sudoku, the things i previously wrote, and probably a million other activities i can't think of right now
stay active - moving you body is good for both your physical and mental health, i'm sure we all know that. you can go on walks or runs in the nature with your headpones on, or do any sport that you like- some ideas: swimming, dancing (ballet, hip hop, modern, ecc) , tennis, martial arts (judo, karate, taekwondo, ecc), volleyball, basketball, athletics, gymnastics, football, archery, fencing, table tennis, boxing, surfing, rowing, hockey, horseback riding, softball, golf, biking, figure skating, rollerblading, skating.. you don't need to do it competitively (unless you want to), as long as you're having fun and moving your body. you can also do workouts, like yoga or pilates, at home or outdoors, or go hiking.
watch movies, tv shows, or documentaries - it can always be a good learning experience, or just something fun and relaxing that isn't mindlessly scrolling. a bonus: after you've watched something, write a very long, detailed and in-depth review in your journal. you can also post it wherever you want (like letterboxd, to fight all the one liners)
hang out - with friends, family, or even by yourself !! (i know, i know, it can be scary). you can do anything, as long as you're with the right people everything is fun, but here's some ideas: have a picnic, go to the beach, go to a water park, have a baking contest, do temporary tattoos, go to a concert, go out to eat, do a one day trip, go on a road trip, take a walk in the nature, go hiking, go to a trampoline park, go to an amusement park, visit a museum, go thrifting or shopping, have a board games night, try out a new cute cafe or bakery, do an escape room, have a karaoke night, have a movie marathon, and so much more!!
i hope this helped!! ♡
