Hello March 👋🏾 and hey new followers! There are a ton of new faces following me so I thought I’d introduce myself. My name is CeeCee Isaac and I turned away from my Doctorate degree and being a college professor and dove head first into full time entrepreneurship as the Loc Doc. I have the freedom and flexibility to be a better person, mom, and a better wife. Though I loved the teaching aspect of being a professor, I knew being stuck in “publish or perish” academic environment the next 50 years wouldn’t make me happy, so I took the leap! This isn’t the first “leap of faith” I’ve taken 🥴 🤯 In 5th grade, I begged my mom to competed in my first pageant. Not only did I place, I won. I had zero experience and no formal training. 🤯 In middle school, I loved theater class and I got every lead role I auditioned for. 🤯 In high school, I decided I needed to college outside of Texas, so I convinced my parents that FAMU was the place to be. I got my Masters from there, too. 🤯 After finishing my PhD, I took a year long sabbatical and traveled the country, just because I needed a break and I wanted to find what truly made me happy. 🤯 After my sabbatical, I started the Loc Doc instead of taking a job at a university in Texas. The idea of natural hair and the Loc Doc made me smile... working for a College of Pharmacy did not! 🤯 After 10 years of being the Loc Doc, I have created the Loc Boss School where I teach “The Art of Locs”, “The Business of Locs”, and offer business and social media coaching to fellow Loc Bosses who want to grow their businesses beyond their wildest dreams. Let’s just say I’ve fallen in love with the idea of facing my fears head on and growing through the process!
