Hello i have elaborate and barely canon-compliant thoughts about Junpei and Akane's relationship over the years so instead of like writing about it like a normal person I decided to DRAW (ID in alt)

More prompts for this hc because I'm replaying 999 and I'm sad:

-In the timeline where Junpei adopts Quark, he tells him lots of stories about Seven and Lotus and how they helped him.

-In the good timeline, when Junpei gets out of DCOOM alive, he meets with Seven and Lotus again. After Junpei left, they started to work for Crash Keys to find him. Lotus is going to hit him for leaving them while she cries and hugs him and Junpei isngoing to cry to because: affection.

-Also Lotus has Akane under a never ending test if she wants to marry Junpei.

Lotus: seriously Carlos is right there he never made a Nonary Game boy why do you have so bad taste?

-Seven is also very protective over Junpei in his own way. He supports him but doesn't trust Akane and Aoi yet. Also, Seven is the one who cooks in this house and he tries to teach Junpei.

-Junpei alternates between Lotus and Seven's house and Akane's house for some time (because he didn't pay rent so he doesn't have an appartment anymore) until he finally moves with Akane in their own appartment.

-Junpei also starts to go to therapy because Lotus drags him but is actually helping.

-After Junpei moves out, Lotus and Seven invites him to eat with them every sunday because yep they had Junpei adopted at this point he's their son no one can do anything about it.

Headcanon: Junpei between 999 and ZTD

(Or in which Junpei sleeps in Lotus and Seven’s couch)

-Junpei and Seven work together. Seven always remembers him that Seven isn’t his real name.

-Junpei always goes drinking after work to forget everything that happens. Seven goes with him because he is worried.

-In the beginning, Seven left Junpei on a taxi and gave the driver his direction, but one day Junpei forgot his keys and Seven had to let him sleep in his couch.

-Also, Seven lives with Lotus.

“I’m not sure about this.”

“It’s just for one night Hazuki. Also is Junpei. Are you going to leave him sleeping in the street?”

-Seven is the only one who calls Lotus by his real name: Hazuki. Lotus calls Seven by his real name when she is angry with him.

-When Junpei starts to “live” in her couch Lotus get a bit angry. She already raised two kids and now she had to take care of Junpei. Unfair (but she actually loves him so she lets him stay).

-Junpei starts to wake up early to make breakfast for Seven and Lotus. Is his way to say “Thank you”.

-Practically every night Junpei sleeps in Lotus and Seven’s house. When the couch broke they bought a new one thinking about Junpei.

“Do you think that this is a comfortable couch Seven?”

“To sit, yes. To sleep…no. Also Junpei doesn’t fit in this couch”

“When did we became his parents?”

-Also they keep pillows and blankets for him.

Junpei: going to the kitchen at 3. A.M because she can’t sleep due nightmares: good morning, parental figure.

Lotus, who can’t sleep either: good morning, my problematic child.

-One day, Junpei and Seven found Clover and Light in the bar. Junpei convinced them to drink with him and Seven was the entire night looking after them.

Snake and Junpei spent the most part of the night complaining about the Kurashiki’s brothers and Clover crying over how beautiful is Alice.

Junpei: My childhood friend and the love of my life kidnapped me and put me in the Nonary Game. Also, she lied about it for nine hours.

Light: get in line. At least they didn’t undressed you.

-When Clover isn’t the depressed drunk she is the definition of “fight me”. She started a fight and Junpei was like: “She murdered five people with an axe in another reality. If I were you I wouldn’t make fun of her”.

-Snake is also the definition of “fight me” when he is drunk. He punched a man who said something bad about Clover. Snake wasn’t lying when he was with Junpei in door 5, he can win a fight.

-That night the three of them slept in Seven’s couch (altought Junpei didn’t want to share his pillow).

Lotus: ¿¡Seriusly!? ¿¡Another two!?

Seven: It will be just for one night Hazuki. I promess.

Lotus: You said the same about Junpei three months ago.

-The first time that Nona and Enea went to see their mom they were surprised to find a stranger sleeping in the couch. Now they pass the night trying to defeat Junpei at Mario Kart.

-One day Seven wasn’t in the town. Junpei had to work in a case alone, but when he was about to catch the criminals, he ended in the middle of a shooting . That night he appeared in Lotus house, with his hands covered in blood, crying.

“I just… I just don’t want to think but… but it isn’t working. Why I can’t stop thinking about all of this? Why… why can’t I forget? I don’t want to remember. I don’t want to hear the bullets. Please, make it stop.”

Lotus helped him to wash his hands, to get out the blood, until they were clean, but Junpei… The look in Junpei’s eyes was still the same. Unstable. Lost. Broken.

She was so worried about him, and the next morning, she asked him to stop: stop looking for Akane, leave the job, start therapy and build a new life. It was what she was doing, what Seven was doing.

But Junpei couldn’t do it.

-Junpei never told Lotus and Seven that he was going to DCOM to find Akane, because he knew that they would try to stop him. The morning he left, he wrote a note for them:

“Thank you for everything.”

Junpei: ok, if we're going to die, there's something I want to take off my chest. Snake, during the first hour that we meet I call you Prince in my head. And when I said it out loud after the nickname thing no one corrected me!

Clover: I only agree with some of the things Snake said or did and the guilt is killing me!

Snake: sometimes I use big words I'm not entirely sure the meaning of. I mean, I'm suppose to be the smart one. If I'm not the smart one, who am I!?

Seven: I'm not actually laid back. I'm stressed twenty-four seven. I'm in a death game and I have amnesia, can you imagine how much stressfull is this!?
