Here is my second Yuletide offering of the year!

Title: Foregone Conclusion

Excerpt:

He blanched. “I’m disgusting. I have to take a shower.” He stumbled out of the bed, and when he turned around, Pisaeng was on his side with his elbow on the mattress and his head resting on his hand watching Kawi.

Kawi realized that he was completely naked and squeaked, grabbing a pillow and covering himself. “Stop looking!” he demanded.

Pisaeng just smiled and said, “You’re so cute.”

“I’m naked!” Kawi shouted.

Pisaeng gave him a long once-over that made him clutch the pillow tighter. “Mmm, I know.”

“So close your eyes!” 

He edged his way around the bed, careful to keep the pillow protecting him. Pisaeng’s body shifted to follow Kawi’s movements like a paperclip drawn to a magnet.

“We just had sex,” Pisaeng answered.

Kawi’s face burned, and he covered it with his hands, realizing too late that he had to drop the pillow to do so. He dove down to retrieve it and shuffled backwards towards the bathroom.

Pisaeng chuckled, and his gaze was so fond that Kawi felt his blush get impossibly brighter.

Excerpt:

He spent the next few weeks either down in Taichung at Zong Yi’s bakery or in his own bar putting together inventory lists, planning themed nights, and meeting the customers. Some he remembered from before he went away, but some were new faces.

There was one face in the crowd that was annoyingly familiar though. Chen Yi hadn’t taken the hint when Ai Di told him he wasn’t welcomed there. He showed up most nights. He sat at the bar, drank seltzer with lime, and watched Ai Di.

Ai Di knew from Xiao Jie, who was determined to keep him updated on Chen Yi no matter how many times Ai Di told him he didn’t care, that Chen Yi rarely drank anymore. Ai Di had ignored the flash of hurt that information caused him – apparently their drunken night together was so horrible that Chen Yi gave up alcohol to avoid making that mistake again.

So Chen Yi sat at the bar completely sober, ignoring any brave soul who tried to hit on him – not that Ai Di cared – and stared at Ai Di all night. The bar was tiny, but Ai Di did his best to stay on the other side of it whenever he was there. Chen Yi didn’t try to talk to him after their fight on masquerade night, but his piercing stare was louder than any shouting could be.

Have you watched season two of good omens yet? Surprised you haven’t posted since it aired.

If I can be honest: I've watched the first two episodes, but then I was spoiled for the end, and it made me so sad that I've been putting it off. The first two episodes were hilarious though! I'm sure that I will give in and finish it soon.
