A pixel art I did to honor Martha Karayanni some time ago. Miss Karayani was a very well known actress and dancer in Greece. Born in 1939, she was in movies throughout the 60's and the 70's and also theatre. She was the epitome of the greek female beauty, contemporary musical and dance. She has appeared in musical theatre, movies, TV series up until very recently. She's been an inspiration for many younger actresses for decades and her influence will be heard in every facet of performative arts in Greece. Also a darling to the queer community, due to her unapologetically classy femininity that gave her dancing numbers a paradoxical power, in days and ages where everyday women were very oppressed. She died at 18 September 2022, aged 82.
