Don’t trust the doc.

“Here’s a hint: if you want him to talk, you’d better bring a bottle of whiskey.”

In a moment of desperation, Dr. Cochran’s daughter gave up her father’s address and the key to getting him to talk: whiskey. 

Spencer and Aria got right on it, and for the most part, it seemed to work. The old man drank and spilled what he knew about Radley, Mary Drake, and the two babies he delivered.

Easy peasy, right?

Not so fast.

As soon as I saw the bottle, there was a shadow of doubt cast over everything the old man said. 

Why?

Because if you recall, the ending of the previous episode featured A.D. pouring a glass of Irish whiskey.

That’s right. 

A.D. is one step ahead as usual in knowing the doctor’s preferred drink, and very likely got to him long before Spencer and Aria showed up. 

That’s why we should remain skeptical of the doc’s story. For all we know, he could have been reciting a script provided by A.D., in which case the whole thing is probably designed to mislead.

Spencer: Well, whoever A.D. is, they’re still one step ahead of us.

Emily: Not necessarily. You got to the doctor’s first.

I’ve posted about this before but isn’t it possible that in the home video wasn’t Jessica, Charles, Jason, and Ali BUT Mary, Charles, AD, and Spencer? Dr Cochran delivered TWO of Mary’s babies. He worded it weirdly, as a lot of people pointed out, which could mesn that she might have more than two kids. Also, Marlene said that the second Drake child would be revealed in 7B, meaning Spencer is NOT the second but the third Drake child.

If you think about it, it was a nice touch that Spencer was the one who found the soul room of Charles and saw the home video of a family in a barn. She also met Charles face to face and thought he felt familiar, but I’m convinced that was AD and not Cece.
