Question: You quoted the below statement on your site. Where did this particular quote from the Hon. Elijah Muhammad come from:"He made Himself into Total Darkness. He put His Ownself turning, turning on His Own Timetable in the Black womb of the Universe. He started rotating. He demands every life that comes into the Universe today to start turning first. “Over to Me, for I had that to do myself.” “Now I am going to see, that every life that comes into this Universe comes out of Total Darkness

When I came into the 5% in 1983, the personality of the Father was almost non-existent and his person(ality) had very little to do with us becoming 5 Percenters. The adoration of Allah’s (C13X) personality as being the center piece of being a 5 Percenter crept back into the cipher in the mid to late 90s with the advent of the NGE school of thought. Yet before the NGE school of thought, the personality of the Father was played down in the 5% Nation school of thought. If you would have said you chose the 5% way over the NOI way than that would be less religious to me. Yet, if you invoke the name of the personalities as to identify with each philosophy…then that brings us back to the cult of personality. Oftimes we are more religious than we know. I personally don’t have an issue with religion though. To me, everybody has a religion, even if it is their own religion.

He (The Honorable Elijah Muhammad) said that in this conversation He asked Master Fard Muhammad something to the effect about why did He come and not His Father or one of the other “Scientists” and Master Fard Muhammad (according to The Honorable Elijah Muhammad’s narrative) told him that “they” (The Scientists) would not come among us because whenever we get close to them they “hide” from among us. This being due to our being “spoiled!” Now that to me takes puts reflective balance to the statement. Consider that? That’s one “heck” of a lesson… Telling your student that That “your” father and his “team” hide from you and your people due to them being “spoiled.” Think that over. In that condition? Black Bottom (Hamtramck) Detroit Michigan, up from slavery, low or no employment and the “Gods” won’t come among us because they see us (in that terrible condition) as spoiled???!!!! Shoo that is humbling… and it humbles me the same way the Problem Book humbles me when i read that the scientists had all but given up on us and the only one who spoke up (Osman Sharrief) said “only” if we had a “THOROUGH knowledge of self.” So it’s some serious pressure to QUALIFY that the Master (Teacher) is laying on his Student. And also (for the reflective person) a great sense of Gratitude for Allah’s intervention in our Affairs. Thanks for the post. my 5cents. pardon the length. Peace.
