Streets of Rage Remake:
Genre: Beat Em Up;
Console: PC;
Year: 2011;
Story: this game tells the story of the Streets of Rage trilogy. You’re able to play all of the games and more in this remake. In this remake, you start with all of the characters from the three games: Adam, Axel, Blaze, Skate, Max & Zan.
Gameplay: the gameplay is based on the third game (which is a phenomenal idea). I’m a big fan of the Streets of Rage 3 gameplay, so for me this is perfect. Every character has their own stats, moves and special moves. You’re able to call the police, everytime that you’re in danger. This game has everything from the previous games and more. Also, you will find some special stages that were meant to be on the official games, but ended up getting cut out. One major improvement is the fact that you have a bunch of new modes. You can play with your friends, or computer ally. You can buy all sort of stuff (characters, cheats, extra content, and more). You can even create your own Streets of Rage game. How awesome is that? There’s a lot of mods and games out there that you can play in this game.
Graphics: this game looks so good. It still has the Streets of Rage vibe that I love, but with a modern touch. It’s so awesome to see the classic stages from the first games, and see them with a modern look. The new stages are very creative and really awesome.
Soundtrack: all of the songs from the trilogy are back, but they are remixed. Some of the songs got a lot better (The Last Breathe, Fighting in the Street, etc…). Unreleased songs from the trilogy are in this game, and they are so catchy. The new songs are really cool as well.
Final Thoughts: this remake is PERFECTION!!! I love it so damn much. Defenily the Streets of Rage 4 that we didn’t got. I will give it a 10 out of 10.
