This was the first day on the river cruise that i wen to this past Christmas to see all of the Christmas markets.

The first day was Basel Switzerland. Its a beautiful city. ( I think i just like how you can walk and transit around everywhere). We spent the morning getting a walking tour of the city and the Christmas market then we had free time. We spent our free time walking around the market and the afternoon at the Kunstmuseum. I loved the museum it had a lot of different artists that I have studied in school and could not imagine actually seeing them in person. we really could have spent the whole day there. In fact we only left because they were closing. And the bus that was picking us up to go back to the boat was close to arriving. That was our first day in Europe.

March 2025

This month I did something that I never though that I would do. That was go to a rave. It was kpop and jpop themed.  I also went because it was the 10 year anniversary of a club that I joined in Uni and one that I was the president of. I learned that I really am not a rave person and that I am really am not big on EDM. But I still had fun.

I will make an introverts guide to a rave. In the future maybe.

March was a lot calmer than a lot of the past month I think it is because I really had more time to myself and I was able to actually relax a bit.

I was able to watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in theatres again since it first came out in theatres, and I sat in the first few rows to watch it. I remember needing basically lay down on the right arm rest just to see what was happening. It was super fun to be able to do that. I could not watch it again with my cousin again since we are both busy now. We are able to catch up once in a while which I think is pretty great.

I read a lot this month I finished Bloody Slutty and Pathetic by WhatMurdah , Hot for the Teacher by Mothetrofbull ,An Indefinite Amount Forever by Mothetrofbull, Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins and lastly Apple Pie and Other Amends by ToEatAPeach. I went from chipping away at Bloody Slutty and Pathetic for a few month because I was really not in a mood to read to reading this much. Reading is really fun for me. This might have added to why I was happier and had better mental health this month.

In terms of TV I watched and finished Suites and Daredevil, and started Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

How to romanticise Spring:

Some ideas and things you can do to romanticise the Spring season 🫧˚˖𓍢ִ໋🌷͙֒✧˚.🧚🏻‍♀️.

Spring Wardrobe - Spring is the perfect time to start integrating new pieces into your wardrobe. Long flowing dresses, maxi skirts, pretty blouses, milkmaid dresses/shirts, rompers, dungarees, mini skirts, cami’s and so much more. Make sure to add a pair of new Spring pumps (Mary janes are perfect) and some pretty floral hair bandanna’s and flower crowns in there too. Pastel pinks, yellows, blues, greens and white fit perfect for this time of year, along with patterns and materials like floral print and lace 🩰

Change your eating habits. Put away the comfort food from winter and indulge in the delicious delicacy’s of Spring. Fresh fruit and vegetables can make endless recipes for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner, sweet things like Oatmeal, Honey, gelato and any particularly sweet fruits are perfect for this time of year 🍒🥗🍵

Consume Spring media 💐 The media you consume affects your mood, consuming uplifting Spring content will not only make you feel happier in yourself, but will also make you look forward to and romanticise the season more. I have a list of Movies, TV shows & books you can consume in Spring that I will be uploading shortly ☀️

Read Spring books. There are SO many out there, classics are perfect for this time of year but any whimsical, forest-core, fantasy story’s like “The Hobbit” or “The legend of King Arthur” are perfect too 📖

Listen to classical music, movie soundtracks and pretty instrumentals whenever you are doing any of the following activities (I find it helps romanticising a lot! 🎶🌷)

Have a picnic outside - Bring a wicker picnic basket, beautiful picnic blanket, fancy plates and cutlery and have a picnic fit for a countryside princess outside, either at the park or in a field. Wear a big sun hat to keep shaded from the sun and be sure to bring the essentials (Princess picnic food can include miniature sandwiches, scones, cookies, cakes & cupcakes, fruits like strawberries, cherries and apples, any snacks you can think of, lemonade and sweet iced tea) 🌷

Host a Tea Party (either indoors or outside) Set a table with all your finest dinnerware pieces, wear a floaty dress and white gloves, and use your most precious Teapot to pour fruity and sweet flavoured teas into any delicate teacups you can find. You can even make this Bridgerton inspired and have a high-tea esque party. With cookies and strawberry shortcake, cupcakes and miniature sandwiches. Make sure to set the table with a pretty tablecloth, fresh flowers and napkins/fine cutlery for yourself or your guests. Play some classical music and enjoy 🫖

Go berry/fruit picking. This time of year is perfect for Strawberry, Cherry’s & fruit picking in general. Wear a big straw hat, a long dress and don’t forget to bring your basket with you to collect the fruit in 🍓

Visit a flower field 🌸 💐 this time of year, flowers are in full bloom. Wear the most beautiful dress and a flower crown, so you are ready to twirl in the flower fields to your hearts content 🌷

Bake new Spring recipes. There are SO many Spring/Easter baking ideas on Pinterest. Have a look at any and compile a list of Bakes you want to try this Spring season 🍰

Cook new Spring recipes, you can even incorporate any new foods you have tried into the recipes and be sure to write them down in your recipe book 🥧

Make flower crowns! You can use fresh flowers or fake flowers, some wire or plain headbands. Get creative with them, use flowers, gems, lace, ribbon (this is a lovely activity to do with friends outside) 🌸

Press flowers (Such a Spring fairy activity!) any wild flowers you find (preferably dying or damaged) take them home and press them in a heavy book

Go on Forest Fairy walks. Explore your local forests, parks, meadows in the most vibrant green and pink dresses, wear flower crowns and just be one with nature, listen to fairytale music and take in the wildlife and nature around you 🧚‍♀️

Decorate your bedroom/space for Spring. This can be as simple as changing the bedding or by going all out and re-decorating your room completely. Fresh flowers, fake plants, cottage-core illustrations of animals look lovely too 🌷

Celebrate Easter like a Spring princess (really get into it this year) enjoy a beautiful Spring breakfast, paint eggs, eat chocolate, do some Easter bakes in the kitchen, make Easter Sunday a special day for you 🐣

Journal/Sketch/Paint - Painting outside is one of my favourite things to do, and you could even set up your easel/painting supplies in a garden or local field and paint the scenery 💐 Journalling all about your pretty Spring days can be uplifting and I find that sketching illustrations of Flowers, woodland animals and just Nature in general makes me feel so at ease any time I do so 🦢

Visit historical places like castles, botanical gardens and garden centres. These places are always abloom in Spring. Most of these places offer café’s and afternoon tea’s too! 🌸

Visit a cute Café for afternoon tea 🫖 (Make sure to wear a pretty outfit!)

Go frolicking in meadows. Roll down hills and twirl in flower fields 🌼

Feed birds and take time out to Spend time with nature and wildlife 🐰

Thoughts from an almost 30 introvert

I have been thinking a lot lately of what I want in my life. I currently feel like I am such a loser. I am basically jobless, never having been in a romantic relationship, I still live at home and last of all I still basically use my parents money. 

All day I would see what work I have to do. Do them and then either watch a show or play games. I have not even looked for a job in about a month. Because I am feeling so discouraged by not having an interview for a long time and not even hearing back from jobs that I am definitely qualified for. I really should start to look for a new job to try and move forward in my life. Or should I start to really try and look for love. If that is even out there. 

I have not been happy for a while. I am not sure what would even make me happy. I think 

But what is a person supposed to do with their life? Work? Find love? Or simply just to be happy?

Trying Something New

Well I am trying something with my life. I am trying to get into grad school but there is a big problem and that is that my grades are not good enough to get into grad school. I wish I did not have so much to do when I was in school and got better grades. I really just had enough to graduate. I also don’t know how to get the recommendations from professors since I have been out of school for so long. I don’t even know if they are still working at the school or how to even get in touch with them. Sigh I really want to do this master but I really don't think that I can get in. Even after getting my GMAT score which yes I need to also do and I have no confidence in. But it is something that I have to get done. It is required for so many masters. I might as well just get it and see what happens but it's not like I have a lot of time to do that. Since I still have my jobs that I need to do and the other job that I got is a volunteer position. It is a great position or learning and networking I am really looking forward to working it so I guess I will try to finish the project management certificate and go from there. Since it is only part time I should be able to do everything and to do the certificate.

Malls and missing out

Yesterday I went to the mall to get some jeans since I have gained weight but that's not what I wanted to talk about. I was looking at all the friends and couples shopping together. I wish that I could have done that in my youth. My youth consisted of a lot of school and needing to take care of my family I never really did that. Not only did I have the regular work of public school but I also had Chinese school on Saturday. Any early Friday dismissal I would have to go home and do my homework and study for the Chinese school because we had a dictation every week so I really had to study for it. So I really hang out with friends on Fridays and Saturdays. Sunday would be for the homework for regular school.

My coworkers at my old job with kids made me realize how much I have missed in my youth. I never really went to birthday parties, I never really went to the movies with friends. I never really did camping over the long weekend or sleepovers. I get that my dad could not do the camping or the short trips but like I barely even got to do the things with friends, because I had to also stay home and make sure that my brother could do his school stuff because he had an IPP and needed extra help. We also did Kumon with him for a bit. If I was not doing that then I was helping my dad with this tech stuff and other miscellaneous work stuff. so ya I was busy. This is also why I never left my city for University. I had to help around the house I was scared that if I left then it would all be left to my brother to do. With this IPP and needing extra help already, I was scared that he would not be able to handle everything. So I stayed. I feel like I missed out on a lot in my childhood, teenage, and my young adult life. This also might be why I still have not dated. I have had a lot of responsibilities since I was young and I was never really able to be a teenager. Even now I still have this responsibility. But I think enough is enough I need to live my own life. I need to move out.

New Hobby

I have been really needing to get a new hobby since I am no longer following kpop as much as I was and now I am just doomscrolling a lot and I need to do that less. My screen time is on average 11h which is not good at all. I am going to start blogging. I am going to write in this maybe like a journal I have not decided yet. But I am definitely going to be trying to write more.

~Stampede and Simple Plan~ July 17th 2016 BTS

We woke up super early to pick up my friend to go into the grounds because they had free admissions till 10am. Seeing that it was free and that we would be seeing Simple Plan we thought that being early would be worth it ( and it was).

Because we were there so early we had nothing to do since we only had one thing planned so we just walked around and waited til more of my friends to come. I was there with my high school friend but  planned the event with my uni friends.

Watching school 2017 makes me realize that if I was in Korea I would never have been able to go to uni. just by pure grades alone. tbh I don't even know how I got into my current uni.

The Horrors of Group Projects

I was working on a group project the other day. At first, we were working together in a room everything was good. I had to leave to go to anther group project. By the time I checked on the project again most of what I had worked on was been changed. When I tried to change everything back they just told me( on the doc and not in the chat) that they did not like it and told me to change everything back to how it looked like.

They already did not listen to me when I gave them suggestions that I have given them earlier. They did not listen to my suggestions or even discussed it really. It was like they have already made a decided and we needed to comply with that they had already decided.

I am still super pissed thinking about it. I am angry that they did not listen to my suggestions you don't have to like them or even use them but I would like a reason other that it needs to be the same as ours. If you want me to change my things you can tell me to before changing it yourself it is a group project. If you tell me to change it and give and we have discussed why it should then yes I will change it I am not unreasonable. I really just feel like they do not listen to what I have to say and I feel like you do not appreciate my suggestion, and that you don't even want me in your group. I just feel like I am working with 2 dictators if you know what I mean by that.

I need to talk to my professor about this with my other group mate.

* they mentioned is 2 people in my group there are 5 of us and we all just have to listen to them.

The Snapchat the reveled it and Realtionships

With social media being so prominent  Relationships are bound to be revealed on it. Recently that happened in our group of friends. it was just the same food pictures at first but then one day a friend took a pic of them holding hands and sent them to people in the group revealing the truth to the world. Later that day they walked into the room holding hands to show all the others. 

Now I don't like the guy but this really makes me sad. The girl is 17 and is in a relationship. Me being 20 and still haven't been in a relationship it makes me feel sad. With it being Halloween and having met new people I was told from a friend that apparently one of his friends like me which I guess makes life a bit better. Being that I have not had anyone confess to me since 7th grade, at least I know that I might have hope.

Trip to Edmonton

I went to Edmonton for 2 days on March 24. For the Harry Potter exhibition

We where not allowed to take photos so this is the only picture I actually have. the wands and let me tell you this they where so so so pretty and so detailed that it was amazing the costumes and everything was very over whelming for me it was just amazing that I didn't even want to leave. I really wanted to bring my friends with me but they are in UNI and is very very busy so its just me like always .It was a fun day and the exhibition was amazing.

When we went to the mall I found Suzy and I took a picture with her.Yep just a picture from the face shop but like OMG THE FACE SHOP OPENED SOMEWHERE CLOSE. we walked around the mall for a bit and rode on the rides then we when to the hotel and left the next day. before we lest we went to superstore and bought books i really do love books.

Banff trip February 17 2014

I went to Banff with my family and a family friend in a van that was rented because the car was getting fixed up.

we first went to the hot springs we just stood there because i cant actually go in because I have slightly low blood pressure and would faint. After that we went to the gondolas.And there where ice carvings.

they where pretty cool.

then we went back to the main part of town and started to walk around a do a little shopping. I wanted to get the Canada goose jacket but it was just too expensive so I got a North Face one for $227 instead. we went and ate at the spaghetti factory, then went to the candy store where I bought 4 packs of my favourite Popeye candy sticks for $0.59

My reaction to watching epi 8 of Heirs

the hug- that was kinda cheesy but it could have been a kiss im glade they are taking it slow.

Legend Of Korra Epi 7-8

These 2 episodes talk about how the avatar came to be.The storyline telling us why the portal to the spirit world portal was closed, makes me wonder why it was even opened in the first place. I guess that Unalaq did not know that the portals where closed for a reason. My theory is that because he when into the spirit world  he knows that Vaatu is stuck in there and that he wants the world to end.

Onto another point of the line of avatar. I think that it was really well developed. it makes a person understand why he did what he did to understand why they are a person to maintain peace within the spirit world and the human world. Raava is basically why the avatar is able to regenerate into another and the reason why the avatar is connected to the spirit world being a spirit merged into a human the avatar is able to do what other humans cannot.
