02. My everlasting quest for Mako to look like the most stereotypical manhwa character continues. I have made *slight* progress. TS3's inability to create long, slanted eyes keep fucking me up. 03. A sweet illustration I found that inspired the rain scene. There's literally no other reason for the rain, I just wanted to recreate this one visual with Evako. 04. Bow Bridge in Central Park is a famous spot for lovers, often glimpsed in romantic movies. The 1862 cast iron bridge resembles the bow of an archer, or violinist. 05. Kogarashi is a poetic Japanese word: the first cold wind that signals the coming of winter. It is the name of the Hayashi's luxury hotel empire, which is inspired by Aman Resorts. 06. Zachari Rousseau is a 27 year old principal dancer at Brooklyn Heights Ballet. Trained at the Paris Opéra Ballet School, he is a winning alumnus of the Grand Prix, and quickly ascended the ranks of Brooklyn Heights. Once coveted for his ethereal youth, Rousseau remains popular amongst the ballet's wealthy donors, despite his slowly fading beauty.

The onyx marble is cool under my bare feet. A thousand more gold petals suspend, silent, above; I have to crane my neck to see them all. Shadows and lustrous ink thread together in a palatial lounge that makes even the Steinway piano look tiny. For the briefest moment, I imagine young men in suits draped over the sunken sofas, ballerinas in sequins coming undone beneath the chrysanthemums, bloody wine dripping off the wings of porcelain cranes. But only one person lives here.  The vastness of Manhattan yawns beneath us.

What's your resolution for your Simblr?

I'm still very much "semi-retired", although there's plenty of story and sexy Evako edits I'm keen to do (if I can stop my stupid fuckin game from crashing every second, which is a real big ask). My one resolution is to finish Act III of En Pointe, and if I can wrestle out a few edits to go along with it, then that will be a successful year.

I had absolutely no idea that when I came flying into your inbox in *checks notes* 2016, that we would still be such close friends nearly seven years later. honestly it's been incredibly wild, having met you when you were literally an infant in high school, talking about all your big dreams. I never imagined that I would get to watch you actually grow up into them. looking back on everything, watching the transformation you have made as both as a person and artist, I feel incredibly honored for having gotten to be a part of your life. I couldn't have known it then, but it really was like adopting the little sister I never had. I was there when you graduated, when you got your bachelor's, when you opened your own studio, and it has been an emotional and inspirational voyage. now seeing you complete this next being milestone, seeing all the exciting possibilities laid out for you, I couldn't be more proud of the person you've become, and I'm thankful for all the things you've taught me along the way. I'm glad you decided to stick around here as long as you did, and I hope that when those days beyond simblr do come, we'll continue to stay in touch.
