It shouldn't surprise the eldest Holmes that the man seated in front of him presses on. He's an  inspector, it's in his nature. There is a reason Sherlock keeps him around, and that's because he's exceptional at what he does---prying. 

Then again, he's very right. Mycroft did break into his apartment, although it wasn't really breaking in, since the front door was very much unlocked, so it wasn't all that difficult, and he was taking it upon himself to be at home, as rude as it was. 

He did owe him something.

    ' Yes, fine. ' Mycroft crosses his ankle over his knee and pinches the bridge of his nose between his thumb and forefinger. 

    ' It bothers me.      Celebrating every other holiday of the year, whilst everyone      else cozies around the fire and opens presents      or shares a box of chocolates with a loved one,      alone, bothers me to no end. '

    As he sits himself back down, he’s immediately struck by the fact that’s both of the 

    Holmes brothers are unbelievably stubborn. And he’s certain that it’s going to kill     him  one day. He’s going to have a stress-induced heart attack, or something like     that, and  it’s all going to be because of the bloody Holmes brothers. He’s not     getting any younger, after all, and those two aren’t getting any less stubborn.

    ❝Yeah, no, you’re not doin’ that.        See, you broke into my flat.        So the way I see it, you at least owe me a bit of an explanation.        Especially considerin’ that you seem to be makin’ y’self at home.❞

    He’s pretty certain that he’s not ever going to get an answer.

to the people who have followed me lately that I did not greet

He sees his point, unfortunately enough, and lets slip a sigh and an eye roll. Quite honestly, he hadn't the faintest idea of what brought him straight to Greg's flat in the first place. They weren't all that close, the two of them. They hardly spoke, barely knew the other's first name, and the only thing that they had in common was                         Sherlock. 

Greg's question hangs in the air between them, and Mycroft makes no move to answer it. He, instead, invites himself to perch on the arm of the sofa facing the one that the inspector had just been lounging across.

    ' I trust my brother has been in good spirits since last I saw him. '

    ❝Right, so, let me get this straight.        Now, I’m no Sherlock Holmes,❞

    Nor does he want to be. It’s bad enough having to deal with him,     let alone actually being him. Plus, all that thinking…He’d never be     able to enjoy a match in peace ever again.

    ❝but why’d you come all the way to Horley to tell me this?        If it didn’t bother ya, you’d be at home right now, drinkin’…        Chablis, or whatever you drink.        It’s not like I’m just down the road, y’know?❞

      Even though his job keeps him busy        throughout the week, Mycroft Holmes        still welcomes the weekend with       open arms.

I am always wanting to write Rated R material threads but I’m never sure of who would be comfortable doing so. Can roleplayers please reblog this post if you are fully comfortable writing mature subjects in your threads? { Blood, Gore, Rape, Murder, Alcohol and drug use, Hack&Slash etc. } I’d like to find out by this post who IS comfortable with these types of roleplays rather than making someone uncomfortable just by asking. Thank you!
