[She laughs again.]

“Am I okay to grab some water still—?”

[About 15 minutes later, a gentle knock on his dorm door.]

[He opens the door.]

Hey! You can come in.

[She nods, genuinely smiling from the reassurance that the mess was still somehow fixable.]

“Oh yeah that’s perfect! Anything else you’d recommend for the future—? Y’know so I don’t have to keep bothering you for more fixes!”

[She stifles a laugh.]

[About 15 minutes later, a gentle knock on his dorm door.]

[He opens the door.]

Hey! You can come in.

“Oh thank you, I’ve needed some but I think my roommate took all the water bottles I bought for some reason?”

[She sighs a little before stepping inside and taking her shoes off — she’d hate to accidentally stain his floors.]

[She then digs through her bag for her phone. The cracks and claw marks are pretty bad and half the screen is obscured by rows and columns of coloured lines. It’s obvious she’s a little ashamed of herself.]

“Here’s the phone! It’s surprisingly not completely unresponsive, but it’s a little difficult to keep using like this—“

[About 15 minutes later, a gentle knock on his dorm door.]

“Ah thank you! I hope I didn’t take too long, I had to grab a snack before I got here so I didn’t like— pass out. Need me to take off my shoes?”

[She asks, a mix of nervous and relieved to see him at the door.]

Iris: Is there anything else I should bring when I come over? Ive never actually gotten repairs before, I usually just kinda throw the device away (sorry for being so awkward with all this)

Iris: This is so humiliating but someone spooked me, I half shifted and I crushed my phone in my hand.

Iris: I can bring it over to see if it’s even… remotely recoverable. But if it’s not I’d love some recommendations so this doesn’t keep happening haha

Iris: Between you and me there’s not a lot of shifters on campus. Like we’re there! But we’re pretty outnumbered, I’m the only shifter in quite a few of the classes I take…

[She smiles a little, still wracked with nerves but determined to get better. Somehow.]

[They wander over to the large building that their map directed them to with a dazed look on their face holding a “The Pure Heart Society” business card. Eyes slightly red and hair a little unkempt, they knock on the door and quietly call out.]

[ It takes a little for the door to open, but 30 seconds later it opens. The person — or daemon - is surprisingly short. Their expression is somewhat frustrated until they notice there’s someone actually here. Their eyes light up almost immediately and they smile. ]

Meet Iris! A bubbly DAMN student & dragon shifter hoping to start life over in Dahlia after a pretty tragic childhood.

Some extra fun facts:

• Iris has no known relatives/family as she was left in the woods shortly after she was born

• Her favourite sports are roller skating & archery — she’s also fond of martial arts

• Being in her shifted form, as much as she loves it, is EXHAUSTING. She needs to eat and rest a lot if she’s been in dragon form for an extended period of time. It’s given her quite the love for cooking.

• She works part time as a waitress in a nearby diner!
