“Mommy , there’s a monster in my bed .” mommy told me there were no such thing as monsters & I believed her so . but little did I know I would encounter monsters from then until I was 18 years old. old enough to recognize that monsters don’t look like what you seen on Tv. they dress up disguised as caretakers & educators, that look like you & me . they smell heaven sent & talk ever so sweet . Beware of the cookie monsters. They show up on every Street Open sesame , Open sesame . spread those big bird wings . For the longest I didn’t know why the caged bird still sings. with her clipped wings & tied feet , she still sang the most beautiful song. Milk & cookes they devour looking for a fresh , soft sweet treat to feed on . beware of the cookie monsters. They show up with gifts & give you a broad shoulder to lean on . beware .
