Rewriting Bunny Blanc

Bunny (or as I prefer to spell it, Bunni) is a very boring character in Ever After High. I'd even go as far as too say, the most boring. She's just not that interesting, which is INSANE to me considering she's from Wonderland.

Bunny is described as calm, cool, and collected, while also being quite shy and serious. This in itself isn't a bad character, but when compared to everyone else from Wonderland, she doesn't leave as much of an impression. This coupled with the fact that her romance with Alistair is rushed, leads me (and I'd assume the rest of the audience) to not really care about her.

I believe that if you're writing a character from Wonderland, you need to take it all the way. She takes things seriously? She makes puns and they're literal actually. She can take things seriously, so serious that she misses the joke. I want her to be a direct foil to Maddie. Complete opposites, yet complementing each other.

Another thing I'm not a fan of is her always being on time. Its described as something that just happens, but i think that she should always be striving to be on time and not just for classes. For everything. I want her to predict what's going to happen before it actually happens. She can't fully predict the future, but her stopwatch can. This being her link to the narrators, much like how Maddie and Kitty can hear them. She knows what's coming next and she knows where to go. She's very neurotic about keeping on schedule. Think Miss Peregrine from Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar children and how she knew what would happen down to the second. Obviously in her case, it was because she relived the same day over and over again for years, but still. I think it'd be fun for Bunny to randomly be like, "We have to go! We need to get to the Castleteria in thirty minutes to see Kitty start a food fight!" She just knows and no one questions it.

She also just needs to be separated from Alistair more. The ship is fine, but it'd be nice to see her interact with other characters. Especially characters outside of Wonderland.

When she is with Alistair, they need more of a dynamic. As it stands, its mostly Alistair leading the way and Bunny following along with whatever he does. There's one moment where we see her get jealous that doesn't really amount to anything. What if Alistair was easily distracted, and Bunny made sure to keep him on track. She makes sure they don't get caught by card soldiers. She's more of the planner of their little exploring duo. Also it gives the vibes of a character with OCD x a character with ADHD.

But yeah, that's what I'd do with her. Just something to think about.

As silly as Cupid is, she’s truly an anomaly to Ever After. In a world where the person who holds the most power is a monarch or a magic caster, what are they to a god? No one’s heard of a cherub or even a demigoddess before, let alone an actual monster, which Cupid is. Faybelle had no clue what she was in Fairy’s Got Talent. She’s the only one of her kind in Ever After and I wonder if some people are frightened at the prospect of not knowing what she is? How much does Milton even know of the divine? Giles knew of Monster High but truly how much power does Milton think he has over Cupid when she’s not even a fairytale outside of the Headmaster-Student Dynamic?

Give me Cupid horror or give me death!!!

but yeah i’m just really frustrated about it, mainly because what’s the harm in just leaving it up? what does anyone gain from taking down a (soft of) netflix original? (i say sort of because of mattel being behind it also)

just makes no sense and makes it all the harder to grow the fanbase

I love the concept of a Blondie and Ginger friendship/ship centered on food. We know Blondie has a hard time eating the meals the school provides, to the point of improving the cafeteria food being her main campaign point in thronecoming. Ginger doesn't feel welcome at EAH because people think she has ulterior motives with the treats she bakes. It would've been nice to see Ginger giving Blondie food she can actually eat, while Blondie uses her influence as the school's reporter to make people see Ginger as more than her story.

@athena-xox is literally the fairest of them all for all she's done 🤍 not even mentioning the media preservation stuff (though, yes, absolutely that too), but for the timelines and the webisode playlists in both release and chronological order which are so so helpful for fanfiction and OC purposes

cupid looks to raven because of her bravery, because despite ravens doubts she does what she can to fight for everyone around her

dexter looks to cupid because she time and time again encourages people to follow their hearts and (seemly to him) follows hers no matter where it leads

raven looks to dexter because she admires the way in which he questions the world around him, regardless of how socially acceptable the questions are

god they really are the throuple ever, i have such plans for them (individually and as a group)

dexter and cupid and raven are so interesting me because they're all admiring things in the other that they themselves lack

dexter looks to raven because of her willingness to stand up to the status quo and to question authority. to challenge the norms and to be willing to write her own destiny.

raven looks to cupid because she doesn't ever hesitate to go for what she believes in. raven is plagued with self-doubt and guilt and regret and here comes cupid barreling her way through no matter what life throws her way.

cupid looks to dexter because he wears his heart so openly on his sleeve. he's brave to put himself out there and risk heartbreak and rejection when cupid can't say the same for herself.

i do think there's love between daring and apple but it's definitely not the romantic kind of love.

it's when you see this girl you've known your entire life and see her curl into herself when people talk about her hair being the wrong color right in front of her face and you 'accidentally' angle your smile in their faces to blind them.

it's when you see this boy you've known since you were in diapers and he's surrounded by his fans and they're all touching him and holding him and he's clearly uncomfortable but he doesn't move an inch from where he is because he's been raised to be charming above all else so you swoop in and take him by the elbow and tell all the girls that he's yours, sorry. and you see him breathe a sigh of relief as you two walk away.

it's when you see your oldest friend frown and pick her food at lunch without ever eating any of it and you know exactly why since you read that her royal ranking dropped this week (you know that she checks it every day the same as you but the difference is that her mom calls her just to scold her for it) so you bring her an apple pie from her favorite cafe since you know it's a treat she can't ever resist.

it's when your about to fall asleep because of a poison apple you ate and you don't know when you're going to wake up and you don't know if your friends will even be there for you when you wake up (you haven't been such a good friend lately that you wouldn't even blame them if they left you) but at least your comforted by the fact that your oldest friend will still be there ready to wake you up. (briar, ashlynn, and raven all left you at one point. he's the only one who hasn't). he's the only friend you've never fought with and he understands your outbursts and breakdowns since he knows all the pressure you're under since he's bearing the same amount of weight and expectations.

it might not have been romantic. but there was love.
