Ancient civilizations saw eclipses as bad omens. They have a better reputation these days, being an exciting and somewhat humbling experience. Many eclipse viewers report profound feelings of awe and being moved by the experience.
One of the most interesting aspects for me is how it affects animal behaviors. It's common knowledge that during an solar eclipse frogs and crickets start to make their noises, birds flock to their nests, ants slow down and nocturnal animals start to activate. A scientific study from 2017 found that three-quarters of the animals in a zoo showed response to the phenomenon.

Hi. Welcome to what I like to call Strangeforest.
This is a collection of my ink drawings, with some of my music and words too.
I accidentally deleted my Tumblr at 38K, so I'm starting all over again.
I'm inspired by Nature and its mysteries, dualities, darkness and beauty.
