😔 after two years of recycling glass into sand my moms business might end. We can't get anyone to buy our sand. We brought glass recycling to our area and did something no one was doing. The country said they were recycling glass donated by community members but they took it to the landfill to be crushed and used as ground cover. Obviously the citizens weren't happy to learn that. And we got such a positive response to recycling in the two years we've been open. People want to recycle. People don't necessarily want to buy sand.

We sold some to the state park for projects. And now the city might /might/ but some now that they risk us closing.

But also mom is not great as competitive pricing. She sold an entire ton of sand for $75 once. I think as a eco friendly product people would pay more for it. Or at least comparible to natural sand.

There's a website but we don't have access to it anymore for online sales. 😔

It's just sad to see her dream come to a halt. We have an event Saturday and in talks with a construction company but we'll see
